Pointless? He’s single handedly kept us in the tie for the second leg.

Yes pointless, unless we win at their gaff, so if we do and make the final then feel to point out they meant something :)

We’ve scored twice, Sanchez f**ked up twice, and a great goal for Arsenal. Makes it 3-2.

Missing our best players too, it’s not a terrible result.

Imagine if James, Caicedo and Palmer was playing tonight… Could be a very different result.

I quite like how Rosenior encourages individuality. Never saw any of that under Maresca.

Considering we are missing first team players and it took Sanchez messing up twice for them to score, I would say its a good result to take into the second leg.

Think its academic to be honest. No way does this team win at the Emirates. It was a Man City vs Arsenal final as soon as the draw was made.

He needs to get used to it. The alternative is Gittens or Garnacho which I would say is worse.

I thought he shone tonight.

Maybe he can bulk up a bit but his ability to create needs to be shoehorned into the team strategy. Rosenior needs to free him up and get opponents on the backfoot.

We just simply can’t defend and our keepers are sh*te, clear what we need to address to become a better side but I’m sure the board have got another left footed 12 year old South American winger for us instead.

I agree. Plus getting a relationship with Palmer would give opposition defenders nightmares

Hopefully the yes man will try and get a settled defense before the second leg, swapping players for the sake of it shows how crap we are, Pedro is so poor and should only be a sub, Garnacho deserves his chance now and should be given the next 4 or 5 games, if he can get James at RB, Caicedo and Santos (or Lavia) behind Enzo (or Palmer) and a striker (maybe Neto)

Tonight is why arse dont win the major trophies .. They should've buried us.

But they didn't and we are in with a shout if we can field a full strength side in the second leg.

If they don’t get enough corners they won’t score enough goals.

I'm not sure why you are acting like we lost 0-3. 2 goals at Arsenal is entirely possible for this team, especially with our 3 best players back.

Yeah, true. But being the plucky underdogs when playing at Stamford Bridge is a fall from where we used to be.

Still, gives us a bit of hope for the 2nd leg

Come on you BLUES

No team has scored 2 goals at the Emirates this season and if we did do so, do you really think that we will keep a clean sheet there, with this defence and the managers tactics of inviting the opposition onto us.

We weren't great but Sanchez cost us the game, who knows what would have happened if he hadn't cost us 2 goals.

Not sure--they are better everywhere and will likely win it again at home.
It’s entirely possible the game would have unfolded very differently without Sánchez’s blunders, and they still might have found a way to win.

It's single elim, so it's definitely possible to beat a better team, but it usually takes a very tactical + pragmatic strategy (aka defensive) and more experienced players and roster.

Unfortunately that’s where we are now.

The positive we can take from the way things are now is, Arsenal have been at their absolute peak for 3 or 4 years now and what do they have to show for it? Absolutely f*ck all.
