Chelsea vs Manchester United (PL) Saturday 18th April 20:00 GMT

Not watching any more of this sh*t this season. I'll see what happens over the summer. If we by some miracle sell a load of these sh*t players, sign some experience and get a better manager, then I'll consider watching again. I'm not holding my breath.

United will have Martinez and possible Maguire missing next week Saturday. Hopefully the honeymoon period for Carrick is over and this where we see a dip in form. We need to win at all costs. Lost, then getting top 5 seems hugely unlikely. We win, then suddenly United now are drawn into the race again. Need a big performance. Hopefully James is back too.

James being back would be massive. That said, we have been so average of late, you really feel we don't deserve CL football next season. Hope we get at, as I know how much it means financially, but the thought of getting totally embarrassed by the likes of PSG and Munich means I won't be too fussed if we do miss out.

ITS GOOD FOR THE PROTEST, PEOPLE WILL BE WELL TANKED UP BEFORE IT AND THERES TALK OF BLOCKING THE ENTRANCES, WONT LOOK GOOD ON TV IF PEOPLE ARENT IN THEIR SEATS AT KICK OFF

At that time on a Saturday, many of the usual supporters are not going to go to the game, so it may affect the size of the protest. But, as you say, it is likely that those that come will have more pints than usual and make it more lively. We will see.

Honestly I don’t even want champions league football next season. It’ll just paper over the cracks, sometimes you got to go backwards to move forward.

Blueco would see champions league qualification as progression and use it to justify everything they’ve done. Plus there’s also a very high chance we would get absolutely battered by one of the European giants anyway.

But yes it’s always nice to defeat Man Utd. Mixed feelings for me really.

United, Leeds, Spurs and City in the final. Those are the 4 I will feel the pain of losing in, if we do.

OK if we beat Leeds it is basically a certain loss to City. Would enjoy beat united, always enjoy beating Spurs and Leeds.

The rest I agree. I dont want us making CL, we need blueco out, whatever it takes.

ESTEVAO LOOKED DIRE AGAINST CITY, SO IT WILL BE AN EXCUSE TO BENCH HIM, SD'S SAY TOSIN NEEDS TO PLAY TO GET HIS PRICE UP

SANCHEZ

GUSTO FOFANA TOSIN CUCURELLA

LAVIA CAICEDO

PALMER ENZO NETO

Some suggestions that Chalobah could be back, but I suspect he would be on the bench if anything. Otherwise, I would agree with that lineup. Enzo will almost certainly be straight back into the starting 11 given Rosenior's comments.

Honestly, unlike against City where they were just clearly better once they stepped things up in the second half, United should be about our level at the moment (as arguable as that may sound). IF we were showing some sort of form, I'd say we would be favorites to win. And win we must, if we want to remain in contention for a Champions League finish, which is looking less and less likely.

I'm more focused on our own form and our own performance. I'm not seeing what Rosenior has brought to the table. We seem to be playing the same boring possession football but with even less penetration than during Maresca's reign. I don't mean to be unfair but I'm very unconvinced that he is the right man for the job at Chelsea. And despite our players being relatively young, I don't see the respect or faith needed from players like Palmer, Fernandez, Caicedo and Cucurella to unite us under him.

So, back to the game: at home and considering both clubs' rebuilding phases, I expect us to win. However, until our key men wake up and all pull in the same direction, it will always feel like an uphill struggle. Palmer is a worry. It started off being physical and I'm not sure he is over his groin issue. I fear he has decided against what he should have had (surgery) because he doesn't want to miss out on the World Cup this summer. But regardless, he has become hesitant, especially in his passing, and that severely blunts us up front. I'm also feeling some kind of conflict among certain players, for example Garnacho hardly gets the pass when it is on. Thank goodness for Joao Pedro because he is holding it together up there. The players need to look at themselves and step up to the challenge. Too many are looking faithless and clueless.

Nicely summed up.

As you say, we SHOULD have a fair chance of beating United, but that all depends on WHAT CFC shows up.

I don't want to see this slow ponderous build up with passing around the back and Sanchez seeing far too much of the ball. We are at home so ATTACK FFS. Agree about Palmer, he is still by far our best player but something ain't right and we need him to be our game-changer again.

Hope we win and pray it isn't another snooze fest or boring 0-0.
