Spending a few days in York next week. Shall I go and find a pub to watch the match? There's the danger I'll fall asleep mid-pub and that is not a good look for a woman of a certain age 🤔

I probably don't look half as good when I'm resting my head on a bar 😒 although I'm not a drooler, at least there's that.

Hopefully you wouldn't be drinking Heineken either.

Given that the league season is a write off now, I would rather see some of the youth players get a chance. Give Kavuma-McQueen and Derry a go on the wings, and Mheuka a run out at center forward. Josh at RB. We may still lose but at least we would have a few more players out there that look like they care.

The league isn't a write off. We're in a battle for the Europa league.

We’d be in 100x a better position domestically next season missing out on Europe entirely now we can’t get CL.

Also might make the SD’s and c**tlake realise they’re destroying the club and their strategy isn’t working.

I agree with you on the SD's. But given the size of our squad and the limitation on loans, Europa or Conf League would provide an option to give the second string some regular starts. we were able to do that last season, while resting the first 11 for the league games. But with the Champs League we've had to play our best 11 in both competitions. This has inevitably led to some of our crocks picking up injuries while forcing more rotation in league games. Since many of your young signings are not good enough or are not ready for this level of competition, this has contributed towards poorer form in general.

If we don't have any European competition next season, we will have less games overall which helps towards keeping key players fit. But it means less opportunities to our second string unless the SD's force rotation on the manager, or we thin out the squad. Perhaps the owners do change their strategy at this point and decided to go with a leaner squad? They could start saving by getting rid of the SD's.

If these youngsters are included and get on the pitch before the 85th minute the season could be rekindled, of a fashion, It certainly couldnt be any worse.

With our current input from the medical team i think these guys would already need to be training with the first team and hitting the fitness numbers which might be unlikely and therefore i doubt the manager is allowed this level of spontaneity, sadly.

Yes. I certainly wouldn't expect it to suddenly turn our season around but I think many of us would at least enjoy watching some of the academy prospects get a chance more than the same tired crap from some of our starters.

You know as well as me that we would start Jørgensen, Tosin, Badiashile and Garnacho and that would just about be it.

Franks first season with a transfer ban apart, we never do well with integrating our own youth at this club, even before BlueCo. Manager is always under pressure and needing a result so honestly, why would they care about giving a Cobham prospect minutes

Honestly reckon the Cobham graduates are better prepared to play for Chelsea in the league than the expensive youth we're signing. it also means that if we go for the route of A*ax in the late 90's we'll sell all of our best players year in and out. Oh for a Gallagher or terrier in midfield, oh for a Mount fit and raring to go.

think its win win, we stop spending cash on vastly overrated youngsters from worse leagues, and we get players who actually give a damn about the club and put the effort in.

I'd rather that set up over the one we have and would give me interest in the youth sides again if we're not going to be challenging for the league and cups anymore.

Refusing to watch this one. I’m going out to watch an open mic evening instead.

Absolutely no faith that they will get anything from this. Brighton fans will be laughing at us and rubbing it in our face for 90 minutes.

No thanks. Pass.
