Very rare, if ever, that a close season is more interesting than the football season. This is one of those times.

In all my years, and there are more flames on my birthday cake, than in Russia after a drone attack, I have never been so bored watching Chelsea week in week out. There are reruns of the Vicar of Dibley that would entertain me more.

Two f**king tedious managers, a bunch of owners who don't have a f**king clue about football and a shower of sh*te for a squad with f**k all character and very limited ability.

Staggering that some people, including on here, genuinely thought this squad was good enough to be top four if only they had a better manager. Is it f**k.

We finished 10th which may well be punching above the weight of a squad like ours. And we are stuck with most of them for a few years to come.

As for wearing that f**king CWC logo on our shirt. Shameful.

The likes of Nkunku, Felix and Jackson must be chuckling (although wacko has the pain of coming back to it). They were all disappointing for us but we are even worse now. Even Disasi looks better than most of our back four now.

I think Felix won the Saudi player of the year.

Add Noni Madueke to that list as well.

Well, my future son-in law has been at the Arse celebrations in Finsbury Park today. Some Tottenham mates have texted me to say today was the turning point. They believe they have reached rock bottom and now the only way is up.

And then us losing to Sunderland. Which TBF was pretty much expected.

And so the worst season in EPL history ends.

It will be an interesting close season. I expect some big names to be moving on. Hoping it will be Cucurella and to a lesser extent, Enzo but wouldn't be at all surprised if it were Reece, Palmer or Colwill.

He is safe Dermott. I interviewed him for the job 4 years ago. My opening question to him was "what do you think of Tottenham Hotspurs and their fans"? His reply was "c**ts. The lot of them"

Able to provide for your beloved offspring and a command of the King's English. You've done good.

It’s going to have to be a busy summer, we badly need some first team players.

No more ones for the future but 3-4 proper players who go straight into the team and immediately make us better.

Alonso was just the start. Pleased with the appointment but it alone does nothing and we really shouldn’t be praising those idiots for doing the bare minimum and hiring a competent manager but this is how far we have fallen.

The football has been terrible this season across the whole prem typified by its current champions and I at least have hope we won’t see that slow, tedious backwards football anymore, it’s city’s problem now.

Glad that’s over but like the sucker I am I can’t wait to see what happens in the summer, I can’t believe they haven’t made some promises, let’s see if they deliver.

COYB.

The end of the season really couldn't have come soon enough. There has been nothing to look back on with any joy or pride. For the majority of the season, we have been just as bad as West Ham and Spurs. As many of us have said, worst season in all our years of supporting CFC. Think the owners must have recognised just how bad things have got by appointing Alonso as one more bad appointment and relegation would be a real threat next season. That said, Alonso is a manager, not a magician, so just pray he is able to halt the slide and turn things around.

Happy Summer All...............................

Trying to find some positives. Highlight of the season was probably/maybe beating Barcelona 3-0 and seeing the promise in Esta-wow! Garnacho, Gittens and Delap also played - Delap actually scored in that game.

There's me thinking that was all a Dream!

Exactly. Move worked out well for him. At least we made a profit on him ...

We used to mock player moving to Arse. Now it is a complete 180.

Yes, selling Madueke made 0 sense from football pov but as you said we made good money.
