July 4Jul 4 Sad about Australia losing on penalties to Egypt.Cape Verde have been the best story of this World Cup.
July 4Jul 4 Enzo and Mac Allister were moving in slow motion. Looks like they brought both their form and their legs from last season to the World Cup.
July 4Jul 4 What a wonderful set of performances from Cape Verde. I was there for my 40th in Feb, its such a cool place, and they are such a nice nation of people, have really enjoyed watching them go toe to toe with three previous world cup winning teams. Great performances, great spirit and great heart. And what a goal there 2nd was. Unbelievable technique to pull that off. Wouldn't be surprised to see him and some of the others make some big moves after this comp.
July 4Jul 4 Cape Verde keeper Vozinha made seven saves against Spain and eight in the loss to Argentina.Well done to Cape Verde. I completely and utterly under estimated them! For me, the story of the World Cup.
July 4Jul 4 f**k sake I went to click on a subject, the screen moved and instead I'm being invited to meet scantily dressed women from Europe, mainly Ukrainian.

The people were delightful, and were happy to talk football endlessly (and knowledgeably). I had no idea they were any good at it. The islands don't seem to lend themselves to football, being very hot, windy and desert-y, and with few obvious facilities. The quality of their football has astounded me.

July 4Jul 4 Playing out from the back annoys me anyway, but now teams seem to want to play out from the back inches away from the sidelines in their own third of the pitch. I can't understand why it's being used as a tactic as it's so difficult to to ??
July 4Jul 4 O' Canada . . . 3-0 to Morocco. Scoreline flatters the Moroccans tbh. But the Moose-fcuckers are out.
