check your facts mate, 4 of em were born outside germany to non german parentage

fact is they are good team if you give em  space to play. but we will not sit back we'll get stuck in and over power em

steveie G..........................this is your day mate

Did not know that. Well, my point still stands. They may not be ethnic German, but that's not the qualification for being holding a nationality today. And then again, a good many non-ethnic Germans in that squad were indeed born in Germany.

I'd play something along these lines:

--------------------James
Johnson---Dawson---JT----A Cole
-----------Carrick------Barry
----Milner-----Lampard---Lennon
------------------Rooney

If we play 4-4-2 (which we almost certainly will) horrible things may happen. If we lose this because of Capello's tactical stubbornness, I would favour sacking him. One mistake too many.

Latest news is that Schweinstieger is fit to play but Boateng isn't.

England unchanged.  Germany just one change with Klose coming in for Cacau.

I thought that would be the case, Joey did nothing to win a spot in the starting line-up last week.

Oh dear, 1-0 to Germany by a Klose goal. Not very tight defending...

Terrible bounce. England turning over possession too easily getting caught out on the counter.

After another major chance for Klose, Podolsky makes it 2-0.

Defence at sixes and sevens here. Quick passing is killing England. Can't quite believe this. Pim Verbeek was absolutely slaughtered by the Australian press for playing a high line against Germany, I can only imagine what the trash rags will do to Capello.

Good effort from Lamps, maybe there is still life yet.

Germany's passing has been out of this world. England's defense doesn't have a chance of coping with them.

I believe it. Germany always gain in strength during a tournament, and England have been average, to put it mildly.

Oooh, Lampard ball narrowly saved...

Well, who would have thought: England pull one back by an Upson goal.

I'm sensing sarcasm. Upson gets one back for England, good for him.

Good lord. Lampard scored. Wow Sepp Blatter is going to cop it about the video technology.
