  1. Give them Job's fast!! we need that in the prem!! fantstic commentry!! Why is he not playing for villerael at the moment?
  2. Well we havent self imploded on the pitch which was always a posibility, better teams than us (yes there have been a few) have showen it doesnt matter what quality you have on the pitch things can still go belly up in a big way!! That said we are still 7th, I wasnt a fan of the grant being a permenant appointment idea and while ill hand it to him he's done well early doors as well as the fact he has gone some way to proving that he is not roman's mouth piece (any one notice sheva getting no more love than he did from Jose) IMO there are three points to look at For me his deffining moment will come in the big Domestic games, Lesser managers have managed to pull of big CL wins, in the nature of that particular competition but its the head to head's against rafa, wenger and fergi that will deffine his class IMO. Not that i expect him to win every encounter but leave with a his fair quota of points from the quartet. Jose never lost to wenger, claudio always did (other than the cl) under Jose we only ever lost once to united and that was to a freaque goal and them playing like a bottom 3 side deffending there lead and only the once to liverpool in the league when we had a center back paring of Paulo and Essien. not to mention fa and carling cups. Grant needs to try and hit somthing simmerler in terms of thease games. He will also be judged on how well his signings go seeing as how it was such a massive talking point of Jose's regime and often seen as one of his weekness (could still be debated in my oppinion) And finaly the style of football, Roman clearly wants sexy football, he wants the neutral fan puring at are style of play, grant seems to be really trying to encourage the forward progression of cole and malouda so here's hoping. ps still miss you jose xx
  3. Im buying in tot he hype with this one and going to say i think its as good as done that the drogs is of this summer which IMO means it would be very smart to spend big in January for two reasons 1) african nations, we new about this what we didnt know was that no one on the books at the moment looks good enough to step up for a month and do a job. This could obvusly change if sheva is given a chance and finds some form but dont hold hope for any one else doing the job as i think sinclare and kaulo while masivly tallented arent lead the line strkers that can play on there own. 2) If we get the new man in January he will have 4 months to get accustamed to the prem and be ready for next season, I dont know of two many players that can do the job well in a 4-3-3/4-5-1 type formation that we seem to be carying on with. Huntelar has done it at ajax and to great affect. Eto obvusly is one of the best in the world. Dare i say zlatan? All of them IMO would be a step down on drogs in terms of sutablilty to the prem and current form but cirtainly with huntelar we would be getting a striker at the start of his career in the grand scheam of things
  4. We do this to our selves every year when this thing comes out, it has always been just about putting the right names down mixed in with a few that actually deserve it, i couldnt argue with essien but chec has to be in there based on what he came back for because he didnt get that much football under his belt
  5. world peace nimcampoop!!
  6. It was always a joke to take on a manager that has only one top ten finish, he is the opitamy of the FA's yes man!! In a way im kind of smug about this, the FA have got what they deserve!! but im sorry for the fans and the players that are having a chance to shine on the big stage taken away from them, then again if they cant perform.... scrap that, the fans only JOSE FOR ENGLAND!!
  7. There's only one man that can unite the club, the fans and the players again... RUUUUUUDDD!! i think if i post it enough it will happen (well he's dutch at least)
  8. Cant agree, last season essien played every where for us pretty much, right back, center back, central mid, poped up on the right wing from time to time, and 99% of times he did all thease jobs brilliantly, with out him filling every gap going where would we have been last season
  9. Ho hum, ho hum and off to work we go... g4 you know the name im going to mention, and you also told me once upon a time that he could never play that role because he was incapable of ever making a pass like the one kaka made for crespo in the CL final... ho hum... valencia away, a week ago, i would now say the ball is firmaly back in kaka's corner, what ya got kaka (have to say since kaka has developed and become a much stronger player he has come on no end and was last season the best player in the world)
  10. ANDY!! Haven't I made it clear enough to you how much I loathe Van Pervie If there is one player I don't want to see in a Blue shirt, it's him. I can't even bring myself to cheering when he's scored for Holland Now stop this nonsense and use the foulest-tasting soap you can find. Are you sure your dutch?
  11. You also get the image of two bauld men fighting over a comb. famously there ego's and in house arguments have cost dutch teams and the national team dear through out history
  12. Id be happy to see us absaloutly smash the transfer record for him and it will be the only chance we have of getting him as well. 70 mill, and im not one that normaly goes in for the whole splash the cash its not ours, he's the richest man under 50 in the world or what ever tripe it is
  13. 1) In ten years he wasnt able to put back to back titles togeter 2) His teams dont seem built to dominate for long periods of time (like united) 3) In 3 years he not once got the better of Jose tacticaly 4) He's a gooner through and through 5) I want RUUD!! All that said he's a fantastic manager and that cant be taken away from him
  14. Just is completely right though, once a show pony always a show pony Pele said about Joe Cole that he was a very very good technical player, and he played like a Brazilian. The only problem was he chose the wrong times to do his showpony moments, and that if he could learn to choose the times to do the tricks (when you are winning) and the time to keep possesion, he would be a great player. This was years ago, I think Joe has improved to that level, he definately was there 1 year and a half ago, when we all thought he was the best thing since kentucky fried chicken. Anyway point is there is nothing wrong with being a show pony, as long as u choose the correct moments to be one. I really wouldnt listen to much to what pele has to say, the guy names diof in the top 100 footballers of all time
  15. Went for drogs, was tough because both him and ricky where immenece. Its good to havea more mobile defender back. Yeah ok, Joe's pass was great but all in a days work really for him, we all know he has the ability and know how to that week in week out dont we but those two where head and sholdures abouve the rest PS this is based ont he last 5 miniutes of the first half and the whole of the second
  16. I dont think we are in desprate need of building a new team, we need are forwards to start converting chances. The thing is when some one like Jose leaves its very difficult to fill the void, tacticaly any coach that comes in is going to take time to get players working his way. There is no way in the world grant can be chastised for the YET. he will not have been able to get the team playing to the way he wants it in such a short space of time. However, where he does fall down is he has no presence. People talk about the new manager effect, when a team are down on there luck a new man comes in and its worth 6 points because of the freshness of it but thats normaly down the bottom end of the table wherre the man there replacing is probably worse than them. As i said Jose would be a hard image to replace for any manager. Grant falls a million miles short so we loose the added bonus of being able to unite and inspire the players, ironicly, siege mentality if you like!!
  17. haha, to every chelsea fan still in pain, (including my self) just cheack out spuds getting the asses handed to them at the lane!! hold on qwaszx?? wast jol going to be are next manager!??
  18. Do you honestly believe that another 3 years and a bit less medeling from up above jose would not have taken us to the final, and then i suppose you just have to look at his record in finales to see how that might have gone
  19. RUUUDDDD!!! Its the only option!!
  20. Acceptable? Oh dear Christ, will you get off your high-horse you sanctimonious Scouse git. Firstly the issue, raised by none other than your obnoxious self, was whether JT's action was worth of further disciplinary action. I say no, you say yes. Unfortunately I have to accept that your presence is still tolerated here. I don't like it. I think it is detrimental to the forum. You are no more wanted here than I am at TLW. Was it my reaction to constant goading that was "unacceptable" or my mere presence? Acceptable for F***'s sakes. You self-righteous, self-pitying, sanctimonius, sly, underhand lying, devious, Scouse git. I dont know lofty, some people hey. how do you tell some one to just f*ck of with out actually saying the very words directyly to them ?? Oh look i just done it. Rob you say time and time again that if you wernt wanted here you would leave http://www.chelseafcforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=4896 Read it carfully, several times i would suggest, your not wanted here. Then again you are a scouser so i guess not being wanted places has never really been an issue for you, Athens.... dont make me continue back through history
  21. You know what, i could learn to live with it for him!!
  22. I honestly believe he would. That was always one of JM's problems. Buys young unproven players with potential, yet fails to bet on them. Now the neighbours and the neighbours french toad...likes'em young. I also believe he will turn out to be a very decent player. In jose's deffence here, wenger has more time and leway to develop them and the chance to get a few wrong which he has, jose couldnt afford to get it wrong. Hell he got it right nearly a hundred percent of the time and he still lost his job. However i would like a manager who is going to take a punt on our young players, we have one of if not the best youth teams around at the moment. I would love it if we could some how replicate the "golden generation" that united produced 12 years ago
  23. I havent seen bobby about on the forums for ages, when did he post that...
