Went to see Sicario yesterday, I'd say I enjoyed it but that seems like the wrong word since it's so relentlessly grim and hopeless. That's the reality of the situation though so the film is accurate in that respect. I loved the cinematography and sound, and there are some really tense scenes (the tunnel scene, for example) and not a superhero in sight (if Batman ever decided to take on the Mexican drug cartels he'd end up strung from a bridge by his knackers), so it gets a thumbs up from me.

Edited by bluedave

just finished the whole 6 star wars movie in one week, my ranking would probably be

1. Empire Strikes Back

2. Return Of The Jedi

3. A New Hope

4. Revenge Of The Sith

tie between the phantom menace and attack of the clones, jar jar binks and hayden christensen's acting will forever haunt me

I'd go:

Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars (I refuse to call it A New Hope)

Return of the Jedi

Attack of the Clones

Revenge of the Sith

The Phantom Menace

Although I can't really watch any of them anymore just don't enjoy them anymore.

The Martian - 8/10. Really enjoyed it, didn't look at my watch in boredom once and that's quite rare. Also Matt Damon gets better with age.

Marshland - Two detectives are send to an isolated town in rural Spain in 1980 to investigate the disappearance of a couple young girls and, as you might expect, they uncover more than they bargained for. Some of the camera work is excellent, in particular the aerial shots that show off the impressive (and at times, quite sinister) marshy landscape.

Recommended if you like dark, atmospheric detective thrillers.

Project Almanac, when it started and I saw it was a found footage film I though ugh but after ten minutes or so I started to get into it. Must say come the end I really enjoyed it.

I have to agree, one of the better time travel movies out there

Really enjoyed it

I'd go:

Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars (I refuse to call it A New Hope)

Return of the Jedi

Attack of the Clones

Revenge of the Sith

The Phantom Menace

Although I can't really watch any of them anymore just don't enjoy them anymore.

Ah, Bob, you've grown up!  Bless!

Tales of Halloween, to tell the truth I was abit disapointed. It's a combination of about ten shirt stories, the first one was excellent but after that it's a mixed bag. Overall give it a 6/10.

Hilarious typo, Bob!!  Were they shirt-lifting stories?

Spy

Starting Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law, Jason Statham, Miranda what's er name the tall one.

Anyway not a fan of McCarthy but had heard good things about this film where she goes from CIA desk jockey to field agent.

Few too many fat lady falling down/feinting gags but overall quite funny and worth a watch.

Bone Tomahawk.

Western meets horror and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Was done on a very slim budget despite having a cast including Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox and Patrick Wilson.

The dialog between the characters is really well done and you do not expect what is around the corner in this strange but excellent movie.
