September 4, 201510 yr Bobby and I were talking about Army of Darkness ;) Oh. I see, sorry! Anyway, I have just ordered The Andrzej Wajda War Trilogy for 14 pounds. The only one I have ever seen is Ashes and Diamonds, so now I can watch them all.
September 5, 201510 yr I don't remember a lot of nudity from the film surprisingly? All I can remember is seeing a load of boobs
September 5, 201510 yr Bobby and I were talking about Army of Darkness ;) I actually prefer the American ending where he kicks undead butt at the S Mart.
September 7, 201510 yr Watched straight outta Compton at the weekend, thought it was excellent, although I think they didn't place much focus on some of the mistakes they all made. Apparently there is talk of a sequel about death row, which I'm sure would be interesting aswell.
September 8, 201510 yr I watched Went the Day Well last night. I've been watching the film for years. Made in 1942 and based on a short story by Graham Greene. A classic war film.
September 8, 201510 yr The Interview. It's awful. Really, really bad. Avoid it. Agreed mate, thought it was so poor and some of the humour was almost awkwardly poor. I watched 'As above, so below' on Saturday night. Wasn't as bad as I expected storyline wise for a horror film. Normally they seem to have some unwritten code that horror film storylines have to be terrible.
September 9, 201510 yr The Interview spoiler I thought Francos character detailing what he wants to happen in the beginning of the movie, and then it actually happening at the end was funny
September 9, 201510 yr The Interview spoiler I thought Francos character detailing what he wants to happen in the beginning of the movie, and then it actually happening at the end was funny Shaun of the Dead something similar where the whole plot was foretold early with reference to visiting various pubs. The Interview for me just lacked any sort of subtlety. I don't mind brash humour but almost 2 hours solid of it the joke wears thin pretty quick. I dunno, all of the jokes were just too obvious for me.
September 9, 201510 yr This is a brilliant movie poster Look in the middle and you'll see how they've disguised The Guardian's 2 star review! http://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/sep/03/legend-review-tom-hardy-on-double-duty-in-cartoonish-krays-biopic

Pretty epic way to skirt around that score. Wonder if this will be decent. Surely it can't be any worse than the one with the Kemp brothers in.
September 9, 201510 yr Look in the middle and you'll see how they've disguised The Guardian's 2 star review! But hey, they did put it there right smack in the middle of the poster, so "fair play" to them. I'd be more worried about the four star reviews from Empire Magazine and Total Film. They give four stars to just about every movie they've previewed/hyped about in the magazine.

I was thinking the same thing, every mediocre superhero movie gets 4 stars in Empire so it doesn't mean a lot.
September 10, 201510 yr I was thinking the same thing, every mediocre superhero movie gets 4 stars in Empire so it doesn't mean a lot. Indeed. The second Hobbit movie got five stars... FIVE! STARS! It's probably the worst thing Peter Jackson has ever done and definitely the worst movie I saw that year. Five stars? Seriously? There have been some notable exceptions, though. Based on Empire's pre-release hype, The Golden Compass was supposed to be just about the greatest thing ever, but it got a two star review. I haven't seen it, but I've heard that's just about what it deserves.
September 10, 201510 yr Went to see Legend last night. Brilliant performance by Hardy, loved the film.

Considering the four stars awarded by Empire and Total film, and the five stars awarded by the Mirror Online and Sunday Express, I'm going to assume that Legend (I hate that title, by the way) is also crap. I've seen the trailer a few times and it did look kind of ridiculous to me...
September 10, 201510 yr Not a movie but just finished the Hannibal series, Diologue is a bit hard to follow but very gripping and enjoyable series.
September 14, 201510 yr I've only seen one Ben Affleck film, The Town, but I liked it. Has anyone else seen that?
