Didier Drogba

Featured Replies

The Warrior. The King. Has been singlehandedly winning games and ripping apart defences for years now. Some muppets were calling for him to be sold in this CURRENT transfer window :/. I would just like to say that I actually love the man, hes my icon and hero. The greatest chelsea stricker of all time?

Goal vs the dippers. My favourite bit of Drogba magic, plus the great reaction by Jose! Haha.

vs Barca. I was at this game. I remember the crowd being quiet before kick off, like we almost collectively feared Barca. But the Warrior pulled us through.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcVdwz-1yhA vs Everton. Chest.Turn.Smash. WONDER GOOOOOOOOOAL!

vs the scum in the FA Cup final a few years back. Great bit of play between him and Frank.

A nice compiltion of the King.

P.S. I've been a chelsea fan since i was born in 1990, so my memory doesn't stretch back far enough to compare Didier to the other true Chelsea greats upfront, other than Zola.

None of the videos created by me. Sorry if the music is crap on them, I don't have sound at work so can't check.

I now have a delightful image of you leaping from the womb singing Blue is the Colour!

After all the crap that's been written about Drigba in some other threads, it's lovely to open this and and watch those brilliant videos. Thanks JJ! ::clap2::

Wasn't that Everton game the one where Lamps scored a blinder as well? That game was one f*kin rollercoaster

I was sitting on my hands surrounded by Everton season ticket holders the Gladys Street End for that match. I've never celebrated so exquisitely silently in my whole life.

AMEN.

Some people on here have no memory of what this icon has done for CFC.

Fickle in the most extreme.

Drogba has a few years in him yet.

What annoys me is that Steven Gerrard EDITED BY LOZ, beats up nightclub DJs, Wayne Rooney solicits prostitutes, Rio Ferdinand dodges drugs tests, Cristiano Ronaldo buys children a la Madonna or Angelina Jolie and are looked on as favorable Role models.

Drogba has used his money to make Cote D'Ivoire a better place, he's opened hospitals, but he's a bad bar steward.

Seems to be the price of playing for Chelsea, no one likes us, we don't care....

Absolutely. The man stopped a Civil War and he built a hospital which can "save 10,000 lives a year", entirely off his own back. Didier is the f**king man.

As I've been saying in the thread about selling him Drogba is still the most important player for us in terms of our chances of salvaging something from the season, I have said after almost every game that I feel Carlo is playing him into form and taking a calculated risk on whether to replace him with a player like Sturridge who has played well against lesser opposition or to keep Drogba in the team showing him how much he is valued and bringing his sharpness back.

For me he has done it the right way as if he carries on improving now, with the improvement in Ramires and Essien looking better last night plus the decent performance from Mikel and And Anelka, Lampard likely back again soon we have

the defences again looking like a unit teams will no longer be thinking its a good time to play Chelsea.

I hope he carries on in this sort of form and I hope he has one more season with us before going back to OM, he has been superb and bar a bit of diving here and there and some strange things said in interviews he has been a model pro.

I really couldn't understand people saying his legs are gone and Malaria is just an excuse after a drop of form for two or three months, he was unplayable most of last season and the start of this...a man as fit as him won't lose it overnight.

A few?

Do you want to be more precise?

Hell, that DVD would have to be a multi-disc box set or something.

While I dont know about "THE KING" so much, considering there is already one at Stamford Bridge, maybe something like "THE EMPEROR" considering Adriano is an afterthought now.

This is something that's bothered me, and you can tell me I'm mad, it just seems JT and Lamps are the stars of the team and Drogba is next to them in the pecking order, but the club themselves seem to encourage it, little things like Lamps shoving Drogs out of the way last may to get to lift the trophy, pre match warm ups are done in teams of twos and Lamps and JT always lead that line, Drogs is every bit as important to us as Lamps and JT, so why do I feel he's 3rd to the club by some distance?

Sounds fine, just as long as he don't get new clothes

Great to see his name back on the score sheet, and regardless of his slump he will still always be a Chelsea legend.

And regardless of his slump, he's still league leader in terms of 'goals+assists'.

I think your seeing things that simply are there. That all just sounds like nonsense to me I`m afraid. With an imagination like that I think you are more than qualified to write for the Daily Mail....

drogba is a legend I think his greatest strike was the one in pre season against Milan from about 40 yards! It's prob the cleanest strikeof a football I've seen! don't think u can't help but worship him for all the inportant goals and assists he's provided us with over the years! Legend!

Sweet! Sounds like an easy job, ridiculous transfer saga, snappy headline, cash in the hand

I did say you could call me mad... I just feel he's never gotten the appreciation he fully deserves, best player in the world when he's on form
