May 18, 201511 yr according the this week's transfer news, we are looking at the following: benteke dzeko unal griezmann toure bale rob green anwar el ghazi i wonder what next week will bring us lol. Benny Hill Tim Henman David Hasslehoff Peter Andre Hulk Hogan Transfer news - I'll believe it when I see them in a blue shirt.
May 18, 201511 yr Imagine how amazing Hulk Hogan's goal celebrations would be? Only thing is we'd need a new shirt for him for every goal.
May 18, 201511 yr Thinking about the yaya toure transfer again, I think it could be a very good one for us actually. We are looking for that type of midfielder, one who can score from distance, power his way through defenders and shoot, as well as being defensively sound, albeit not perfect. I think he would certainly add some great strength to our midfield. RLC won't be a solid first teamer next season, but he can definitely come in regularly to replace toure in the latter half of the game. The only issue for me would be his wage demands, however, he would likely cost us the price of mikel, so it would be a bargain. I would rather toure over mikel tbh, and I'm pretty sure many others would too. He hasn't been the player you're describing for 12 months.
May 18, 201511 yr He hasn't been the player you're describing for 12 months. maybe because he has wanted to leave and he's looked like he couldn't be assed with city any more. I mean he even angled for a move earlier on this season, but it didn't happen and he decided to stay, but he definitely wants the move no doubt. i mean if there's any truth to these rumours, then if we can sign him for say, 10 million, and he is willing to come here on reduced wages, then it could work out great for us even if for 1-2 seasons while RLC develops. If he comes here and still wants the same salary as he was getting at city then that's a big no no. Edited May 18, 201511 yr by enigma

May 18, 201511 yr Yeah, but that player would never score a hat trick. By the time he has finished celebrating his second goal he would be sent off Ha ha good point
May 20, 201511 yr "Radamel Falcao has been offered to Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea as Monaco prepare to send the forward out on loan again next season." -Paper talk No thanks!

May 20, 201511 yr I can see why it would be tempting to take him. A player who WAS considered world class on loan. Not often that comes around. But it doesn't look like the Prem suits him. We don't need another Torres and Shevchenko debate.

We don't need another Torres and Shevchenko debate. It's the wages more than anything, he's on over £200k a week which is more than Hazard gets as our best paid player. We're not going to break the wage structure to take a punt on a forward who would be 2nd choice at best. Unless Monaco heavily subsidised the wages (and why would they, I assume that's why they are loaning him out) then I don't see us being interested in the slightest.

May 20, 201511 yr If he comes here on 50% reduced wages for the privilege of living in a great city such as London, then i wouldn't have a problem with him being 2nd choice.
May 20, 201511 yr If he comes here on 50% reduced wages for the privilege of living in a great city such as London, then i wouldn't have a problem with him being 2nd choice. Really? Falcao has 4 goals in 26 appearances averaging a goal every 326 minutes Remy has 5 goals in 18 appearances averaging a goal every 129 minutes Basically would you honestly have Falcao as 2nd choice striker ahead of Remy? Especially considering he earns 4 times as much per week.
May 20, 201511 yr We should avoid Falcao at all costs. At 29/30 it's too big a risk especially as he's been poor since that bad injury.
May 20, 201511 yr Falcao is paying the price for joining Monaco for the £££ and getting a major injury in the process instead of joining us a few years back. Now that he's being touted to come here after he's exhausted every option he can f**k right off. "Anyone want Falcao?" "Anyone?" "...Anyone?" Monaco have a serious flop on their hands and we do not want another Torres/Sheva on ours. Avoid, avoid like the f**king plague.

Exactly, Falcao had his chance before he joined Monaco, he shouldn't have got greedy, now he is paying for it.
May 20, 201511 yr Not sure how true this is, and I think it's already been mentioned in relation to him, but the ownership situation night have had a lot to do with his move.
May 20, 201511 yr Bad career decisions or not, felt sorry looking at him when he walked off last game. For a while he was right up there with Messi and Ronaldo in terms of goal scoring, and now he can't buy a goal. Maybe a move back to La Liga would do him good? Madrid might be looking for a striker if they don't opt to sign Hernandez.
May 20, 201511 yr Yeah I felt sorry for him too. Then I remembered he had made more money this season the I will for the rest of my life and that feeling quickly evaporated.
May 21, 201511 yr Falco made some strange career choices, but that injury really ruined him, and that could happen if he plays at another club. It's similar to the demise of Essien, one bad injury, tried to rush back, then career almost over. Where is the poor Boison these days? I read on DM yesterday we are linked with Falcao again, it could be worse as last week Jose wanted to sign 32 year old Ricky Lambert.
May 21, 201511 yr While I understand the point about their wages, I think sometimes we forget things are relative. At a certain point, I'm sure the money doesn't factor as highly in a players thoughts as we like to imagine. When players, especially, one who has been at the very peak level of his profession suddenly drops down to the very bottom, it's got to mess you up quite a bit no matter how much you earn.
May 21, 201511 yr Not sure how true this is, and I think it's already been mentioned in relation to him, but the ownership situation night have had a lot to do with his move. I'm pretty sure they can't tell him where to go, they can't force him and his family to move to a different country. Staying at Atletico Madrid would have been better than moving to Monaco.

May 24, 201511 yr A few rumours about vidal going to United for £25m, I think he would be a very good buy at that price.
