August 30, 201510 yr I'm talking £40+, maybe even £50 million, not euros. For that price we may as well offer that for stones. Not a chance everton turn that fee down tbh, unless they're f**king retarded. Edited August 30, 201510 yr by enigma
August 30, 201510 yr Sissoko would be better. Tiote had some knee problems last season. Hes absolutely better than Ramires defensively, which is what we are lacking Tiote is a foul machine with a touch of a rapist. I don't want him anywhere near Chelsea.
August 30, 201510 yr Whatever the case may be, Chelsea needs at least one quality signing to compete with some of the weaker players. I believe that is unlikely to happen. Conversely, a panic buy for an over the hill veteran player is the likely occurrence.
August 30, 201510 yr Sorry but Stones ain't Laporte class... But Stones has experience playing in the Premier League and would count as homegrown. I'm not saying that Stones is necessarily a better player, as I've not seen enough of either to judge, but there's probably a good reason why we were after Stones and not Laporte.
August 30, 201510 yr You can add Nicholas N'Koulou to our list of wanted CB according to Sky... Edited August 30, 201510 yr by doctorblue

August 30, 201510 yr His buyout is £36318758.81 He is light years ahead of Stones at the moment. He's tall quick and has an excellent left foot. I'd love him to sign. Can't see it happening though.
August 30, 201510 yr Ps. 2 young French defenders who are already excellent. That would be our mainstay for a decade.
August 30, 201510 yr His buyout is £36318758.81 True. But there's talk of taxes of a further €20m. So we're in effect talking about €70m for a kid who's never played in the Premier League. That's why Man United backed out of the deal. Not saying we're not desperate enough to do it. We might well be in full panic mode right now...
August 30, 201510 yr Isn't there a way around this where he can buy out his contract and move between clubs or something weird. I'm sure United done something similar with Herrera.
August 30, 201510 yr Isn't there a way around this where he can buy out his contract and move between clubs or something weird. I'm sure United done something similar with Herrera. The way around it would be to pay 1m euro less than his buyout, and pay the extra 1m euro as an add on. etc
August 30, 201510 yr Is he worth the money? Better than Stones? Yes, he'd walk into our starting XI which I appreciate isn't saying much at the moment
August 30, 201510 yr Looks like Chalobah is spending the season at Napoli on loan...no option to buy though... Edited August 30, 201510 yr by doctorblue
August 30, 201510 yr The way around it would be to pay 1m euro less than his buyout, and pay the extra 1m euro as an add on. etc Thats how it works. Just a matter of the selling club being generous. They have no choice but to sell if we meet the buyout, just hope they want to keep a good relationship going with us
August 30, 201510 yr Apologies if this has already been posted. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/8/30/9227723/psg-chelsea-marquinhos-transfer-rumour-nicolas-nkoulou
August 30, 201510 yr Did we really bother to enquire about Marquinhos? Doubt its true, but that would be mire amateur hour then biddibg 20 mill for Stones
August 30, 201510 yr Time is getting less and less. I can see it now, either no one comes in, or we panic and trigger a release clause just to avoid haggling. Its so obvious
August 31, 201510 yr Ive watched loads of footie this weekend PL, German, italian, dutch and Spanish and the guy that stuck out Griezmann, quality quality player.
