I will like this window if RLC is given a proper shot at the CM job. Pedro looks a quality buy and Kennedy is an intruiging prospect. As Chelsea fans we have seen far worse

I think deadline day is going to be absolutely awful tomorrow. Nothing major will happen between English and leading European clubs anyway as their windows will have closed so no chance for replacements.  It'll be one of the poorest deadline days for a few yrs.

No. You are right. We needed though. Pedro was a good coup but CM area was not addressed which is a big mistake. The likes of Pogba or Witsel would help. If we actually tried to buy either and failed we have failed. It is as simple as that. Can't buy if a player is not for sale then you move on to the next candidate and don't leave it to last minute.

lmao bayern spent over £70m this summer. Last summer even more. And they have no competition in germany.

It's getting that way. And with our owner, our sponsorships and our generous cut of the TV income (and the apparent death of FFP), we really ought to be able to afford it. And it's not like we didn't need to buy some key players. Even before this sloppy start to the season there was a belief that a new centre back, central midfielder and some extra punch up front was needed.

Pedro looks like he could be the answer to the imbalance we've had up front, so definitely a very good signing. Kennedy, I'm not so sure about as while he has shown potential in a first half appearence in a preseason friendly and 15 minutes on Saturday, he looked as likely to be loaned as he was to break into our first eleven.

I admit that I don't play that football manager game and don't watch a great deal of foreign football but I reckon we should have been looking at a centre back in the Varane/Laporte mold, a midfielder such as a Pogba/Koke and along with Pedro, perhaps another striker. I admit still being very sceptical about Falcao.

Despite last seasons title win, I really feel we've been a bit slow in the last few seasons to keep improving this squad on a steady basis with the players needed to be title favourites and serious CL contenders year in year out. And this bizarre start to the season has made that quite clear and we now appear to be panic buying a player nowhere near our level.

Pogba is going to cost a fortune and juve don't want to let him go, as well as us having RLC (who is costs nothing) and koke didn't want to leave atletico. every top player won't be available every summer, it just won't happen so we have had to take our chances where possible with the signings of a new LB and Pedro. a lot of people were crying out for a player to fill the RW, we got one, then a new LB, we got one, the central midfield is still a little debatable, but if we play RLC there then he's that CM. I would have liked to have seen someone like naiggolan of roma here, but i doubt that would happen and there's been no interest from us in him at all unfortunately. man city have been fortunate that there were players available in the window whom fitted where they needed positions filled, but this isn't always the case. we might not be making any big movements this summer, but in january or next summer a couple top players may come available whom we need and we then ourselves go out and spend 100 million.
