The only reason I can think of is that they probably want to cash in on him while they still can.

 

A player hitting 30 years old is like a car hitting 100,000 miles, value absolutely plummets. De Rossi is 30 in July.

 

Whatever their reason for selling, I would bloody love him at Chelsea.

Maybe but the above tweet says Roma are keen to sell and the player has to decide on the move. Sounds more like, from this quote, the club are the ones more pushing for it.

He's the perfect age for us, because by the time he's finishing up then chalobah will be primed and ready to step in.

Maybe they can't afford his wages.... I think they gave him a bumper new deal last summer after City came in for him. 

The thing is DeRossi went through a messy devorce and was severly depressed at one point. He had an absolute sh*t season by his standards as well. Not sure what state he is in now, could have asked for a transfer..

I wish the rumours about Mata leaving would stop. I'm 99% sure it's nonsense, but seeing them keep popping up on various sites still worries me.

Everyone's favourite member of the twitterati Tancredi Palmeri is saying that we've made an approach for Kevin Prince Boateng worth around €15m. Which is interesting.

We Aint Got No History is focussing on him injuring Ballack 3 years ago, but as a player he's very good and my favourite Milan player at least. Industrious, fast, hard working and he's got the technique to back it all up, but whether there's anything in this, I doubt it. Also, I have literally no idea where he'd play. He's basically played everywhere from central midfield to striker and every position in between, so it'd be interesting to see what he'd come in to do. I still don't think it will happen, mind.

Boating really? The guy is average

I'm Sudanese and currently visiting Sudan, went to watch Sudan play Ghana yesterday, he actually got sent off but calling him average is ridiculous, he's a top player and would definitely improve our team/squad. I just remember that volley against arsenal in the CL. Thing of beauty.

He was easily Portsmouths best player during his time in the premier league.
