July 28, 201312 yr So if Mata is on the wing, would KdB or Schurrle be first choice in the starting 11 for Mata's vacant role or the other wing? Good question, not to mention Oscar and Moses are both right footed if Jose wanted to select them on the left side. Can be argued Moses has produced more often in the past from the left. Problem is we have no alternative to Mata as a left footed right winger. Then there is the possibility we go back to the 4-3-3, so how would that look? ------Mikel------ Ramires----Oscar Mata------Hazard -------?------
July 28, 201312 yr if thats the trio, then i bet de bruyne would be in the centre Maybe, he seems like he has a lot of potential that Jose can hopefully unlock. I have high expectations from him and Lukaku. I think they are ready to make a big impact.
July 28, 201312 yr So if Mata is on the wing, would KdB or Schurrle be first choice in the starting 11 for Mata's vacant role or the other wing? schurrle in the middle? no but kdb is our best nr 10 after mata Edited July 28, 201312 yr by Lane
July 28, 201312 yr Not connected to Chelsea but this is crazy, crazy money: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/8845192/transfer-news-gareth-bale-odds-on-with-sky-bet-to-leave-tottenham
July 28, 201312 yr Levy is insane if he doesn't sell Bale now, stock can only drop from here. He should remember what happened to Modric! And axman, I too am very excited to see what KdB and Lukaku can do at Chelsea now that they have both had productive seasons on-loan. Just hope KdB's injury wasn't too serious, any updates on that?
July 28, 201312 yr To go back to the earlier thing. If Mata is to play on the right, surely Oscar would be the more likely candidate in the centre than De Bruyne, at least to start with? Personally, I prefer Mata in the middle, though I think it plays to his strengths more in terms of playing in tight spaces.

July 28, 201312 yr I start off by thinking how insane Real are for putting that down on Bale. However then I remember they managed to make a profit on Ronaldo, the CR7 one, in a short space of time thanks to their marketing machine.

They made a fortune on selling Ronaldo shirts, but I just can't see them making a profit on Bale's name.
July 28, 201312 yr They made a fortune on selling Ronaldo shirts, but I just can't see them making a profit on Bale's name. honestly, id wager half the madrid fans have never even heard of him
July 28, 201312 yr Posting in the 'random rumours' thread because there isn’t a 'too good to be true' thread... Reds will replace departing Suarez with their former star player. Liverpool are considering making a shock move to re-sign Chelsea front man Fernando Torres this summer as a replacement for the Arsenal-bound forward Luis Suarez... Exclusive: Liverpool Prepare Move to Bring Chelsea Striker Fernando Torres Back to Anfield
July 28, 201312 yr Oh course they aren't. Does anyone really believe that Rodgers is that stupid. Such lazy news reports get right on my nervs!
July 29, 201312 yr What are the chances that if we sold Torres back to Liverpool, he would be the leading goal scorer in the Premier League?
July 29, 201312 yr What are the chances that if we sold Torres back to Liverpool, he would be the leading goal scorer in the Premier League? None, sir!?
July 29, 201312 yr None what so ever! He wouldnt get much game time at all there. Studge would keep him on the bench!

On the one hand, Spurs would lose their star man and take a step back. But on the other hand, it would be giving Levy the power to go on a shopping spree and vastly improve their team overall. Actually, knowing Levy, he will drag his feet and refuse to do business until it goes through at the 11th hour, so that he can get an extra couple of million. Then his club will suffer for six months because he was greedy.

Then his club will suffer for six months because he was greedy. As good as Bale is, I think the £80m could really improve their squad. For a start they could buy a couple of strikers. And then they could spend some money on a centre back and maybe a left winger... I dare say they would still have change left over from all of that.
July 29, 201312 yr A small demon inside me wants them not to sell and Bale have an average season just to bring some sense into spurs fans. They're all star struck I guess having such a star in the team and thinking that 90m isn't enough for him.. smh
July 29, 201312 yr honestly, id wager half the madrid fans have never even heard of him You're probably right, he's only one of the biggest stars of the world's biggest league.
July 29, 201312 yr You're probably right, he's only one of the biggest stars of the world's biggest league. try telling a spaniard the premiership is the biggest league in the world when modric went to madrid about 90% of their fans had no idea who he was
July 29, 201312 yr try telling a spaniard the premiership is the biggest league in the world when modric went to madrid about 90% of their fans had no idea who he was You seem to be a massive fan of exaggeration and wild statements without any basis in reality. Conducted several widely based surveys of Madrid fans have we? Half of them have never heard of Bale and 90% had never heard of Modric, lol. Edited July 29, 201312 yr by startedwithglenn
July 29, 201312 yr Oh another thread about Bale - first I go into the Luiz thread and it's about him now this one!
