Fabio Coentrao has told Carlo Ancelotti he is desperate to leave Real Madrid before the end of this transfer window. With Los Blancos looking to bring in Mattia De Sciglio from Milan and Gareth Bale from Tottenham, the €30m left-back is well down the pecking order. Chelsea, Tottenham and Monaco are all mooted destinations.

I imagine so- there's been a lot of talk in the rags about players having these loyalty bonuses for not handing in a formal transfer request.

 

Looks like (some) clubs have been building then into contracts to maximise the profit made if a big name leaves.

Falcao apparently going to be put up for sale because Monacco could run into tax issues. Jesus Christ here we go again.

Would be interesting to see if anyone is interested, not sure there would be many clubs that would be willing to stump up the £50m they paid for him. 

They won't look to sell him for at least 12 months and if he's a success at Monaco he'll probably end up at Real Madrid. 

 

I really can't see us going in for him in truth. 

Agree, FC. I'm sure that article is just overblown scare mongering, but if he is sold next summer I expect Madrid will do anything to get him (unless they can get Aguero first)

 

 

I know the law is on their side , but I actually find myself agreeing with the LFP. Monaco already has a giant advantage with its ownership, and I dont see why they should have another, institutional advantage.

 

I suppose if the courts throw out the French leagues decision, they could always just vote to have a salary/transfer cap instituted league wide. Then PSG would probably object, but I guess then the question is whether financial equality across the league is worth the loss of revenue/stars they would have from capping expenses.
