I've seen articles saying we don't need to strengthen in January. This is nonsense. Willian needs to be replaced. And we need a lot better options as squad players. Salah, Ramires and mikel just aren't good enough. Reus would be a start

bit harsh on ramires. I know he's had some bad games in the past, but he's been out the squad for months. 

Ramires and Mikel are great squad players to have IMO Can't have a full squad of world class players

You say that, but for a striker he isn't in his prime and it's not like he has scored only a handful of goals in his league. The kid is already a prolific scorer for his club, so a move away is wise and it will be interesting to see how he progresses. Suarez was still at Ajax at 23, and the dutch league isn't great, but he was scoring a lot too. I think it's too quick to write off the kid and say it's just a purchase to make us a tidy profit. I don't think you can say the Croatian league is a poor league, either, as it includes some good teams like hadjuk split, dinamo zagreb, lokomotiva; these are teams who, only a few years ago were playing in European leagues.

Don't like these situations. They get criticised from all angles. Also, we are in a situation with both Moses and Marin no one wants to be in, and I highly doubt anyone wants yet another player at Chelsea who isn't good enough for the first team and spends their entire contract out on loan at various clubs

I'm keeping my eyes out, but not for either of those two. I am hearing Varane is unsettled at Real, and Man Utd and ourselves are rumoured to be interested. I would not be opposed to a transfer like that at all, but we don't need another striker when we've just signed a 23 year old from Croatia for 6 million and Bamford on loan at Boro, as well as already having Costa as our first team striker and remy waiting in the wings to play. We need at least 2 more midfielders and varane would be perfect.

I honestly don't understand why we have so many players linked for transfers with us... We already have way too many loanees and players currently with our youth players coming up, yet we just buy more :/

Baker and Salah play different positions. Can't see baker ever being a player that will be effective out wide.
