I have a feeling that Chukwuemeka will form part of a deal for us to get Gittens.

Gittens is amazing. I see a lot of reports from solid sources that Chelsea are after him. One of my favourite wingers in world football, the guy has an abundance of talent and this aura about him, I think he will lock the England NT left wing position for years as soon as he comes backs to the PL.

If we get him I hope you're right. However I have previously seen similar reviews about Tel. Spends this season at Spuds and struggles to get into the fourth worst team in the division.

Hopefully you're right because I do think we'll be getting him.

Either him or Nico Williams would be top, top business, although I do not think Nico Williams would accept our board's wage proposal. I think he would ask for at least 200K per week if he is to leave Spain.

Agreed, although I've had a feeling for some time that a Fernandez to Real and Rodrygo to us deal may well happen. I don't know why but I think the numbers for either are just too big for clubs as a one off, but as part of a mutual transaction, as two separate offsetting sales, I just have a feeling that this might happen.

It's interesting that Rodrygo has said that he wants to play LW next year. Madrid already have Vinicius Jr for LW. We have a bunch of underperforming left wingers and one who is suspended, all of whom are eminently replaceable. It all slots together rather nicely !

All might look like a perfect scenario until Rodrygo tells you his wage demands. Then we’re back to Garnacho

We've signed a new player!

From the Club Site: Caley Wiley – Watford

Wiley started Watford’s final eight games, including the draw with Sheffield Wednesday at the start of May that brought their season to a close.

How embarrassing that the club site flunkies can't spell our own players name. How hard is it to spell Caleb?

Unless I’m getting my wires crossed pretty sure we bought this lad last year from an American team. Probably a loan return

Correct, owned him for a year and loaned out.

In talks with Dortmund about Gittens and we want the deal done before World Cup.

How good is he really?

20 years old and just hit 17G/A in a season for Dortmund in 48 matches.

For reference, Sancho managed 36 G/A in 38 games for Dortmund at the same age.

Basically what happens when you hire someone like Joe Shields who had put together a very successful U-21 team, and probably wants to see how they get on in the senior game a few years down the line !

Our Academy were only really dominant in the Youth Cup, not so much the PL2 league

Do you ever stop to think that we are signing cities academy players because they need to ship them out for the same reason.

Maybe we shouldn't be signing so many players in the first place so we don't have to ship our own out.

I don’t trust the German league. Pretty much most players look good there.

Agreed. We should be focusing on La Liga and Ligue 1.

Plus an occasional gamble in Portugal/Brasil sometimes? Just for fun

I'm not saying we should get him or anything, but it would be absolutely hilarious if we outbid Pool for Wirtz like we did with Caicedo/Lavia.

I'm not sure if it'd work as it could lack some pace (albeit we play walking football most of the times), but on paper Wirtz, Estevão and Palmer would all be very interchangeable and create havoc.

His wage demands are £300k/w.. For City to walk away when they desperately need a De Bruyne replacement, odds of us being remotely interested are zero.
