Still have an old Chelsea The Blues scarf I bought in 1975. A classic, but can't find an online picture. Will keep looking!

My blue and white bar scarf could be poked in at the end by the tassels and made into a hat!!

I was bought a blue and white bar scarf and a bobble hat for Xmas one year, problem was living down in Sussex everyone thought I was Brighton, as loads of school mates had the same but we're Brighton fans, it was a nightmare until August 1983, Kerry Dixon and 8k Chelsea down at the old Goldstone ground. Seemed like as long as we didn't be do anything stupid in the away leg during the CWC winning season, we'd take care of business at Stamford Bridge and get through. Vicenza were a good team, gave us all we could handle. Franco and Zola showed how big their balls were that night, in fact they all did. I Remember thinking after we lost the first leg in Italy we'd need at least 4 at the Stamford Bridge, 3 was enough though. We've been blessed with some beautiful teams at Chelsea. But that might well be my favourite team ever, they seemed so close and enjoyed playing together. Similiar to the Championships winning team under Mourinho in his first spell. That CWC winning season gave me so many memories I'll never forget. Beautiful team.

Indeed we were back. Cheers for mentioning that great 1983/84 season. This Chelsea old git appreciated it!

That game v Vicenza was an amazing one. It had drama and excitement and I still get shattered watching the highlights or footage of it. That season was amazing and I agree it was a great Chelsea team.

That Zola header was real cool to see.  I presume that, like Thierry Henry, Zola did not score many goals using his noggin.

The Hughes volley was out of this world. Only he could have scored that. Played some beautiful football did that team.

We can't go on this site without mentioning that season at least once every 3 or 4 days.

Have to say for the three shirts Le Coq Sortif made for Chelsea were all different and popular. From the pinstripes in 1981 with a silky feel shirt. The classic 83-85 and the 85/86 shirt were all great designs. The collapse came with the idea of an in-house money maker the “Chelsea Collection”

I know it's a little more recent, but I just came across this. The legendaryness in this photo is ridiculous.

Top 3 Chelsea players ever, imo.

Micky Droys shirts from that period all look two sizes to small for him. 

I think they were the first tops we had made from a shiny material rather than cotton.

Agree about the Chelsea collection. That jade one was murder.

ps shiny materials were a real game changer. I think Adidas got there first with Dundee Utd being the earliest I remember.

I was at this one in the MHL. Was a big fan of Poyet at the time and remember saying to my mates hes back from injury bet he scores, of course he got the equaliser which seemed to drag the team back into it.
