By all accounts,Jose's attention for detail has noted that Nando's form improved somewhat when he was forced to wear a mask to protect his broken hooter!.

Working on the theory that the more of Torres face is covered the better he plays,Jose is hoping this little number will do the trick next season!.

btw how shocking is it that theres more talk of luiz and mata leaving than torres leaving

Not very, given that there are clubs out there who would want them and can afford to match the wages we pay. If a deal makes sense for the buying club, you can invent silly cliches about the Mourinho Style Of Player and pretend there's a chance at a deal. If it only makes any sense for the selling club, it's harder to spin as possible.

Well Torres has come out as saying he wants to convince Jose to make him number one striker again next season. I really can't see that to be honest. Even if Torres ends up staying he won't be number one choice, no way. I doubt he'd even be second choice if we get another striker in.

I won't be surprised if we don't sign another striker. And Lukaku/Torres would start over Ba, for me anyway.

I would. I'd be downright p***ed off too, to be honest. We really are aiming to be doing a lot better than we did last season in the league, cos despite finishing 3rd we were 14 points behind the champions in the end, and that's not acceptable for a club like Chelsea. We need a top draw striker.

Carjacker

"I do believe that Suarez is a slightly different character to Fernando Torres," said Carragher at a Sky TV event.

"The thing about keeping unhappy players is an issue because we had that experience with Torres and keeping him wasn't the right thing to do. Torres wasn't the same player for about 18 months and that's certainly what you don't want.

"There were times, I believe, when Torres wasn't giving his best on the pitch for Liverpool and that is why it was a mistake to keep him.

:face_palm:

To be fair, its also the season I hope Jose can get the best out of him....if he stays. If he is still here then I hope he can play better and be of more value to the team. I also hope he goes though more than any of that.

If Torres was ever to have a good season it's this coming season, his form was decent at the back end of the season, he'll be playing with arguably the most creative support behind him in the league that has a full season of playing together now and obviously Jose is here too.

He's never going to recapture the form of his early seasons at Liverpool and I don't think he is going to be first choice next year either but I think he will contribute and possibly be bought on or used in games where Jose might go with 2 up top.

The good thing is at least if he is playing sh*té Jose will have the nuts to take him off!!

if i remember correctly mourinho even made a first half, tactical, sub while at chelsea

Didn't he make 3 subs in the first half in one game?

We lost though didnt we? Wasnt it the Newcastle cup game? Though injuries and cards didnt help.

Double change away to Fulham, I think it was SWP and maybe Duff who he bought off.

Triple change at half time away to Newcastle in the FA Cup when we was losing, Bridge took a crunching challenge to his ankle early after the changes and we played a lot of the 2nd half with 10 men.

No way would he leave Torres on if he was playing a stinker but as I said, I don't expect him to be first choice next season any way.
