I heard on the grapevine that Mourinho is looking to Falcao for a bid of 60 million in either January or the summer. If not, Lewandowski.

Either of those would be a major coup.

There, fixed that for you.

Would rather recall Lukaku.

Yes, I was horrified when I heard we were loaning out Lukaku again, I couldn't figure out why at all. I would love him back, but I honestly think Jose doesn't want him. Hate seeing him bang in the goals for another prem team, though, when he could be doing that for us.

Why are we talking about bringing a striker to the team? This is the first time post-Didi we have a trio of strikers who actually score.

Torres is in a good moment as Carlo would say it, Eto'o is peaking and Ba scored coming from the bench last time he got the chance.

Cos while they are all doing well, they still aren't quite good enough to lead the Chelsea line. Any of them. If we have serious title and CL aspirations we need a world class forward as far as I'm concerned.

With Etoo out at least 2 weeks, hope JM doesn't run torres into the ground. 9 matches in December. Gonna have to give Ba and Schurrle some time up front in the cup comps and lower op.

No one is at the peak of their career but they are doing a decent job. Difference with us and City probably is the lack of "aguero" as you suggest. Would be easier for every one if they'd score for fun. The amount of work to get a goal is huge for Chelsea which naturally eats confidence and energy. I think we'll see this team peaking at spring so we'll struggle consistency before that..

Hoping Torres is in top form against Soton.

Likely he will, cos I don't think I've seen Demba Ba start a game for us this season. He's the most underused player we've got in the first team squad. Or at least, one of them.

Torres will more than likely get another injury before the end of the season too. It seems he can never go through a rich vein of form and not pick up an injury. He has played brilliantly for us for a while now, but picked up two injuries along the way that kept him out for up to 3 weeks. Up until recently he had not once been injured for us, but that was because he was s**t.

We have a fixture overload this next month so we will need all three of our strikers fit and firing.

Demba started vs Norwich i think, and did a good job. looked quite threatening at times. im sure he will get a few run-outs in the next 2 months

He has started 2 games.

Villa he was woeful.

Norwich he was decent.

Starting to think that we can lay this thread to rest at last.

Torres might not be banging them in like his was during his Anfield days but he's clearly working his ass off to make things happen.

Overall I'm just happy that he's making an effort now.

I guess this thread will never be ended until he leaves...but I think we realise that we will never get a return on Roman's 50 mill, but as long as he contributes week in and week out I have no problem, its only when he doesn't work his ass off and has a strop is the only time I have a problem these days. I thought he worked hard today against two central defenders.

He tried hard today but he looked frustrated. First half he had nothing to go on apart from one chance that you could say he should have scored. At least he looks hungry for goals and is trying to force something even when it is not happening,

I thought he could've done better at times, however he certainly did not have a bad game by any means. He put in the work rate today but that electric player we saw against Spurs and City didn't show up this time.

He had no room today against two central defenders until Ba came on, unfortunate in the first half with a great save by the keeper. Our forwards, no matter who it is, still don't get enough service from the midfielders in my opinion, because they want to score also...

Where's the fun in that?

Surprised at some peoples reaction to his performance today. Thought he was good  first half and got in some good goal scoring positions and was unlucky that boruc pulled of a worldy save. Second half he was very good in my opinion and him and ba's presence upfront changed the game. I know some get frustrated when he picks up the ball and tries to run at defenders but I enjoy it because he powerful and hard to stop when he gets into his stride.

Him and ba linked up well and could we see that partnership from the start wednesday?

I thought he had a pint 3/4 full kinda game, that run in first half was scintillating, as said Boruc denied him a fabulous header, put in a shift, neat and tidy passing, relished having Mata back, downside, not enough service to him, apart from lumped balls from the back.
