Someone on Five Live said when Torres missed his chance - "Torres has done a Torres".

He has become the laughing stock of the premier league.

He really hasn't.

LoL at Suarez not putting in a "shift for the team". Yeah thats why they havent won anything, because of Suarez. If only he would start jogging about and stop scoring that would help them a lot more.

Its only my opinion 'lol' all you want. Luis is all about Luis, if you want to ridicule it 'lol' away.

As for the issue regarding winning/scoring/shift for the team , Torres cabinet will show the winner. When it comes to trophys we have won over the last few seasons he has had major impacts in us attaining them. Is he the goal scorer we want ? No but being jumped on after this performance is the same sh*te the last few weekends I have read regarding Lampard and Mourinho. Fickle ? No , embarrassing.

As for if Suarez was to be linked with us , he would go down with FSW in popularity with myself, I would hate to see him in the blue.

Same. But apparently only goals count, who cares about the rest.

Not the same Torres as we have seen over the last couple of weeks and that's been his problem (among other things) he is 'reliably' inconsistent and it becomes more evident when you watch him in games start to spend more time outside of the box than in it, when you begin see that as the game progresses you know he isn't going to put in a decent shift.  Ba will start on Saturday no doubt, and would not be surprised if Torres is sat high in the stands as a spectator.

When your striker's best asset is merely limited to chasing down opponents who have the ball, as opposed to running with the ball and shooting then you know he's in trouble. He is simply not good enough.

I dont think anyone is arguing we need better strikers. But it is what it is, and i guess Jose will try to power through with what we have

Spot on Zola. By that measure we may as well have Ramires as striker.

What makes Luiz play all about him? What is it he does that not every top level striker out there do? Is it because he shoots a lot?

As for being linked with him, I dont know how to feel, but Im leaning towards no, because I think hes a c**t and I really hate him and the club hes playing for. But I dont believe for a second that if we bought him from Ajax and he was banging them in for us that the fans wouldnt get behind him, claiming that "the press is after him" and that "he will do anything to win".

Its not like we havent had plenty of controversial players that we have defended tooth and nail through the years.

Off the pitch not on it.

Drogba wasn't a diver but even our own fans got annoyed when he went down easily. Essien was rightly scrutinised for diving on the weekend. I don't think any of us would condone one of our players BITING SOMEONE.

PS can only laugh at how he so desperately wanted to leave in the summer but no one bit (hehehe) and now a few goals and he is best in the world again. He is at the right club.

First bad performance of the season from Nando, a night to forget I would like to think, like any of our players, we can not judge him on just the one performance.

I dont think anyone really is either, everyone is allowed a bad performance. A few have pointed out it was a bad performance, thats it really. There are more posts complaining about people being fickle, drivel talking mongs for saying something.

He flatters to deceive, people just really like him and judge him by some different standards or generate excuses when his goal scoring form is mentioned. Our strikers have 4 goals in the League since the start of the season - that's probably worse than teams in the relegation zone.

If Looney had scored 2 goals in the League since the start of 2013 I wonder the types of articles and media coverage this type of form would have received. Even United fans would tear him to shreds.

My opinion on his form in the Prem this season it's still the same - I don't see much of an improvement regarding his goal scoring consistency which is the main thing a striker should be judged on.

I'm still amazed that Jose rates him ahead of Lukaku

I think its all to do with attitude. Jose has done nothing but say how pleased he has been with Torres' work rate and the amount of effort he puts in. How ever recent noises have come out about Lukaku's attitude which doesnt sound too good to me and clearing has annoyed Jose into saying something.

His attitude was not satisfactory because he probably felt he earned a bit more than being a back up for Fernando Torres after his season on loan. Until I hear managers who actually work with Lukaku and play him regularly complain about his attitude I will remain thinking is another excuse like the famous attitude problem Sturridge had.

Eto'o can hit a ball, Torres never shoots.

He does shoot - he just isn't always as accurate as we would like!!

I agree with that. Eto'o is more deadly that Torres. At times Nando looks like he wants to go out there an cause some damage but others he is happy to go out wide and get lost. Eto'o wants to be banging in goals. As i have said before on here i would start Eto'o over Torres each and every time. As bad as it seemed at the time i think Jose brining in Eto'o was a good deal.

Of course people weren't happy and waiting for him to have another sh*t game, what a stupid statement to make (whoever made it earlier). But it's just the same thing over and over and over again. A few decent performances where he runs around like a bat out of hell, maybe scores a goal or 2. Then he goes right back to awful movement, abysmal finishing that would embarrass a non-league player, and just general pouting and arm flailing.

We have given him SO MUCH TIME. It's been f**king 3 years of this and he's still getting paid in excess of 150k per week and playing loads of games. It's insane. He will never be the player he was, I just wish the club would give up and get rid of him and sign someone who will score us goals.

Yes, Torres runs around chasing the ball.. so what? I could do that. You could do that. We could sign bloody Grant Holt to do that. The whole point of the striker is to score goals, and he is not, has not ever, and most likely will not ever, do that for us.

Not being funny, but Drogba was a terrible diver, and I'm surprised anyone can argue with that. Greatest Chelsea striker since Dixon, but he would fall over at a gust of wind, and it was even more noticeable considering how much power he has.

It's not just the missed chance. I don't really mind about missed chances, at least they show the striker is getting into scoring positions, which will always be the main criticism of him.

Freeze that clip on 5,6 and 7 seconds. It's just such an easy pass and it's almost a certain goal. Hit it into the space for Hazard to run on to, and hit it early. There are acres and acres in front of him.

Watch the pass, he makes it much more difficult for Hazard than it needs to be.

Edit: In fact it's only Hazard's breathtaking skill that turns it into a chance.

Can you provide the obligatory clear-cut Youtube clips of Didier actually diving?  There must be millions if he was such a terrible diver.

I'll try and be a little clearer and then perhaps leave it at that, I can't be doing with handbags.

My comment on 'Luis being all about Luis' is based on his attitude towards the club that pays his wages. Yes he scores goals, crackers, belters, but would I swap him for Torres ? No, because I wouldn't want a player that has left his club in the lurch through stupidity, selfishness and madness by getting banned. A club that supported him through all these things and then he tried to engineer a transfer. So in my eyes I look at the entire package, scoring, performances, attitude on/off the pitch, loyalty and our results.

With Torres in the form he has shown for us since he has arrived he is not what we are after, glimpses of what we want are not good enough, I'm sure he knows that himself. But compare him with Suarez and it's a no contest for me overall (my opinion). It's a shame Lukaku was sent out on loan, but with the options we have I believe up until last night he has shown the best form, deserved the start and was slaughtered for having a shocker , it bothered me. It also bothers me that he just can't regain the form he was bought for.

The fickle remark is not aimed at people who make a genuine post (again my opinion), most of us on here understand that. I know it is my choice not to bite at some posts but sometimes I can't. I do stand by that though, recently there have been laughable posts which I used to think only existed on other teams forums.

Anyway that's it, KTBFFH people.
