John Terry - No ligament damage

Featured Replies

I had myself prepared for losing him for the entire season so good news.

I was fearing the worst, but lets face it, he's a f**king trooper. Even if he did have ligament damage, he could probably still play and be the best cb in England. :D

Fantastic news. Was very worried for him (and the team).

I was in the MHL admiring his performance, and thinking he hadn't put a foot wrong - as well as scoring his 50th goal - when he very uncharacteristically played a sloppy pass out of defence that was easily intercepted. Seconds later came the clash with Suarez, which looked so serious, and it looked as if that might be the last we'd ever see of him.

I remember Joe Cole getting a knock on his knee just before it went against Southend. He carried on playing, and then ruptured the ligaments very badly. He's never been the same player since.

Seems the next 48 hours will be vital in how serious this is as swelling is too severe just now to judge the true damage.

Radio update.

It'll be the end of his career as we know it, can't see him coming back, that's the end of our season, we won't be able to to replace him, were not going to win f**k all without him, the end is near.

Did my scouse accent come over the tinternet ok ?

Great news, was beginning to fear the worst looking at JT's reaction as he was going off. Still wont have him over Christmas possibly but that's nothing compared to what it could have been.

Brilliant news.

That scream will live with me for far too long...

*goes back to the gif of Suarez celebrating, turning around, finding no one was celebrating with him and his face sinking*

Unbelievable when you look at the shape of his leg in some of the pictures, I thought that was season over as soon as I saw it.

Great news and he'll be like a new signing come January.

Terrific news.

I don't care if it is 2 or 6 weeks, just relieved for his sake that it isn't knee ligament damage as that would have almost definitely ended his career.

Hopefully see Cahill getting some regular playing time now.

I would love to see him and Ivanovic at CB for some games with Azpilicueta at right back.

Thank goodness for the positive news. It could have been a lot worse. Here's hoping that it's closer to 2 than 6.

Good news of course, not a cruciate ligament tear then which would have cost JT the whole season. Sounds more likely to be a sprain to the medial ligament.

Most significantly, We need one of the other cb's to assume some responsibility in his absence. Time for some other leaders to emerge.
