December 23, 20169 yr We should offer every penny of the fee for Sanchez. He doesn't look a happy bunny at the moment. Best case scenario we land him, worst case scenario we unsettle him and ruffle a few feathers at The Emirates.
December 23, 20169 yr We'll never get Sanchez. He'll be allowed to run down his contract and make his own mind up before Wenger sells him to us ir any other PL side, IMO.

December 23, 20169 yr Played a big part in helping us win four trophies in the four years he's been at that the club. Wish him all the luck with his move. China is now the new Russian League. Got some big spenders out there and it's quite an attractive move for a lot of Brazilian players. Not surprisingly Hulk has played in both leagues.
December 23, 20169 yr Well ... what an astounding fee for someone who, despite 38 goals in 203 appearances, has basically become a squad player under Conte, after flattering to deceive for most of his CFC career. Cheers Oscar and good luck. Well played the board for negotiating that one ... and who'd have thought ... £85 million for Ramires and Oscar LOL.

The fact that Jose's no longer with us makes it even more plausible.

A player of privilidge like say Frankie, doesn't have these kind of ambitions. That is why a club gets much more out of Lampard than from Oscar. However the money is insane and in this case to get 60m pounds from a player we really don't need atm is brilliant. I agree with your statement, and I really wish people would take the psychology of players and their personal lives into consideration more often. There's so much to be understood about so-called 'bizarre' deals or bad patches of form, and that understanding comes from empathy of that player's situation. As a lot of people would say; footballers are humans too.
December 23, 20169 yr Can't a guy working for a huge multi-national get offered a job with more money in a start-up and pioneer a movement?
December 23, 20169 yr good luck to him. feels like a huge waste of his talents- one wonders if and how he could return to european football.

December 23, 20169 yr "Little Diamond" is such a perfect title for this thread. It's really a shame he never turned into the big diamond some of us thought he would be.

December 23, 20169 yr Pretty crazy that after this transfer we have only spent about 55£ million net on transfers since 2013.
December 23, 20169 yr Just for kicks and giggles , take the 60 add 40 and throw the 100 mill at arsenal for Alexis and see what they say
December 23, 20169 yr Seems like a done deal.. good business for us and no judgement on personal level in this case.. everybody is a winner in this deal..

The point is to test the resolve and destruct the player but to be honest,he is one of the best players in the world and playing in a three with hazard and costa would be scary, Griezman is the only other player I can think of that takes us up a level. Beyond that you are looking for that bit of luck on a player that it didn't quite work out for, perhaps the boy Lucas at PSG for example
