December 14, 20169 yr It's just what I read on SSN Well, that's scary. If he doesn't move this January, he might just like to run down his contract.
December 14, 20169 yr Sky Sources are saying that he wants to stay and fight for his placeIf this is true and he turns down £350,000k per week probably after tax I will forever respect him say what you want about his ability but he's given his all anytime he's played whether good or bad he wants to play for the shirt not the easy money in China we may miss out of £60 million but gain a player playing for the shirt not just his pay packet

December 14, 20169 yr Seems a lovely bloke but far too inconsistent It's a good deal for both parties to be honest good player too good for that league and although it shows a lack of ambition at 25 years old but 350k a week is unreal, 60m for him would be great but who do we replace him with? January is notoriously hard to buy players in.
December 14, 20169 yr where are these inconsistent stories coming from? first of all it was almost set in stone, next he personally said it was 90% done, now he wants to stay and fight for his place. can someone start reporting legitimate rumours instead of nonsense and clickbait ffs.

I'm not even sure how he'd have spoken to some Brazilian TV channel, I mean, he is in London isn't he? Did they just fly over for an invasive chat?

December 15, 20169 yr Our official site had the post match interview with Conte and he said Oscar - situation will be cleared in a couple of days.... Whatever that means.
December 15, 20169 yr Oscar will become the third highest-paid player in the world on an astonishing annual salary of £20 million after tax following his move from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG. The Brazil midfielder has been offered weekly net wages of £400,000 by the Chinese Super League club, which would leave him behind only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. -source: Times

Hopefully it means, "Bye bye oscar otherwise, we will have the russian and the italian mafia give you a visit"

December 15, 20169 yr So based on comments from both Oscar and Conte, reading between the lines a little bit this looks pretty close to being a done deal. I'll be sad to see him go, always liked him as a player, mostly because my son shares his name (silly reason I know). Will be interesting to see if the club looks to replace him in January or holds out until the summer. RLC can easily step up and play more minutes if needed and fulfil the role Oscar had. If we're worried about depth for the attacking places then we should just keep Kenedy hear for the rest of the season rather than sending him back out on loan.

And, if we're losing a game or it's 0-0, I imagine bringing him on as an attacker will bring us far much more reward compared to forcing him into an awkward left-back role (whose idea was that anyway? I don't want Conte to follow suit regarding that.) He has enough flair and trickery to get past anyone and then hit a ball in. He'll be good for us if he gets a chance. December 15, 20169 yr Shanghai SIPG can f**k right off. If Oscar is worth £60m then Mikel is worth £90m+ Plus we should be wary of building a professional relationship with these guys... do we really want to end up with Hulk a few years down the line?

Hey if it means selling players for 4 times their market value then let's get them over for a stadium tour! Keep these cash rich mugs close I say!
December 15, 20169 yr I dont think there is a need to replace him in january, we dont have europe to worry about, and id like to see us keep musonda or kenedy, so conte can have a good look at them, and see whether they can be relied on. Its hard to bring in quality in january, especially attackers, so id prefer to sit on the money then move for our top targets, with the lure of champions league football, and playing for the champions of england....hopefully.
