That figure is an insult to CFC and I'd be shocked if Marina who has basically scammed other clubs into paying us big fees for unwanted players actually lets our most valuable asset go for what would be peanuts in today's market for a player of his caliber. It's not an insult. Madrid know we either take that level of money or we take a lot less in a year. 

Maybe I'm wrong, hopefully I am. But if hazard goes for more than 125m I'll be surprised. 

I hope we turn it down if that is the figure. But I can't see us getting more.

150 million isn't enough, he is miles better than Coutinho and had a far better World Cup than Neymar.

We would need to replace but no top players are available so he stays. Then again we are notorious for letting players get their wish 

When was the last time Madrid signed a “galactico” that was over 25? The solution to Madrid’s problems lie in PSG, in Mbappe & Neymar they have perfect replacements for Benzema & Ronaldo. I think there is something going on in that respect, as Madrid have released 2 statements in the last couple of weeks denying negotiations for both players which is just strange.

Give him as much money as he wants to stay, he's irreplaceable.

I doubt it's money he wants. He wants to play in a side which has a great chance of winning the CL, where he can play attacking, expressive football.

Unfortunaately, at the moment that's not Chelsea.

And other way to look at it, maybe Madrid moves their attention on to a different player in a year or year and a half’s time?

I'd be going with this. We will never replace his talent as only Messi and Ronaldo compare in my mind. 

Dyabla is not leaving Juve when they got Ronaldo to join, they wouldn't weaken a side they want to conquer Europe. Greizman isn't leaving this season and Bale is injury prone and on the decline.

Isco wouldn't come close to delivering what Eden can and would cost a fortune too.

Real can't afford Tibo and Eden as that's well over £200 million and can you see us letting two first 11 players leave in the same season weeks before we get going again, well 3 if you include Willian? 

Just offer him a better contract and buy players who will make us a force again, Jorginho is a start.

I get this too, when a player wants to go we usually accommodate so I just hope his mind can be changed.

i honestly don't see who we could get with that money that would make us better or even the same as with him in the side.

Real can afford anything they want - Ronaldo is off the wage bill and they got 100m for him, plus they haven't spent anything in the last three years (winning the champions league every year).

They have infinite cash.

You have touched on a very important aspect.  There is no way we let 3 of our first 11 go 3 weeks prior to the season starting.  2 of which are our best attacking options.  It just cannot happen right now with no one lined up to replace them and a new manager.

Or they're just scared the rumours might piss PSG off and make them activate the release clause of one of their players.

As ever is up to eden. If he wants to go and real pay a fair price I don't think we should stand in his way.

Yeah a crucial point. 3 first team players leaving? I can certainly see Tibo and Willian leaving and it looks 90% certain that they go if you go by the rumours. 

We would absolutely kill our attack - particularly with not having a strong consistent centre forward.
