Last time we lost our best attacking player was when we sold Robben to Real and to be fair Hazard has been 3 times more important to us than Arjen ever was. That really hurt at the time. There is really no player you can bring in to replace him. 

If he goes then we are to blame, he is tired of playing defensive football and he has given us some great moments so can't begrudge him

Also just remember who real are in negotiations with Marina she will absolutely haul them over the barrel because I feel Mbappe and Neymar are unreachable and if that's the case and they come for hazard and we know that nothing less than £200m will be accepted

I see this a lot on here but have wondered where that idea has came from?

Sounds like Real are about to make their move for him now.
Matteo Pedrosi now reporting we have rejected a first offer of 120 million euros. Yesterday Di Marzio said they had offered 160 for Courtois + Hazard.

May be a bunch of bull, but I have a bad feeling. Losing Hazard’s best friend to Real is not helping our case for keeping him. And if Hazard has told the club he’s not extending I bet we are just posturing and trying to squeeze Madrid for as much money as possible right now.

Just look at how much money we are losing on selling Thibaut now with a year left on his contract. Next summer Hazard would be in the same situation.

We get pretty good money for name players. Oscar and Luiz went for well above a fair price. If the Willian stuff is true 50 or 60m would be robbery.

I'd rather take the hit on losing £35 million on Tibo if it meant keeping him for a year and making a real go of a CL place (Which would bring in more than £35 million....much more!).

You really have to weigh up the pros and cons of these things, we seriously weaken and face a struggle to get to CL for 2 years in a row then you face  Liverpool scenario of being out of it for a very long time.

I agree, but the club would never do it. We made a huge deal of £7 million for Sarri, i'd be shocked if the club is ready to lose 35-40 million on a goalkeeper.

It's not a huge fee though not when we are brining in an absolute fortune in TV deals, Sponsorships.

I mean we could make that back by selling Danny Drinkwater or any one of the umpteen players we have who are surplus.

 

On his day he is one of the top 5 players in the world.......unless we have someone already lined up I don't see how you would replace him this summer, especially with the transfer window now shutting in a couple of weeks.

I hope you are right. Just as we bring in a manager who plays a style that can get the best out of Hazard and he leaves would be a real kick in the teeth.

I don't think RM are fully interested in Hazard, i'm not convinced they see him as good value considering his age and goal count. The fact Tibo said 'Hazard goes where he goes' during the WC sounded like a desperate call to RM to come get him, if he thought the move was going to happen would he have said anything at all ? I'm sure Eden wants to go to RM, but i don't think it's a totally mutual thing.

We sold players not half as good as hazard for way above the odds that's where it comes from, we got prices for players no other club could. £52 million for Luiz was robbery not to mention Oscar and Rambo

Baka came off a am Impressive as Manaco and Drinkwater was superb in his title winning season and still had great season after and the price we paid compared to the inflated prices since last season was pretty good.
