Marca is the mouth piece of Real Madrid. They use that newspaper to push stories linking them with players to unsettle them with fake information like "Chelsea have spoken to Madrid" or "Hazard has agreed terms with Madrid" etc.. So Sky sources saying that Madrid are interested in Hazard are pretty pointless - its OBVIOUS they are interested in Hazard. 

It doesn't mean we are going to sell, it doesn't mean we are listening to them. I'd tell them they have to wait a year. But if we sell I won't be overly upset - as long as we get £80m plus.  

That donkey pogba was sold for 90m so we should be looking at least 160m. Not just break the world record, but smash it. He's still very young and if he goes to Madrid and perform they'd recoup their money just like they did with Ronaldo. 

Everything surrounding this potential deal is in our favour.

It's been a while since they last raided one of those clubs, though. They haven't bought a galactico in a while, mainly because of no need to. Only now they need to replace Ronaldo and need to refresh the RM brand. They will take players from PSG, Chelsea, United and juventus if they need to and have the financial clout to do so. Fact is that Madrid are a bigger club than we are and guarantee success and an easier life for any top player.

Im 60% sure hazard won't go, he doesn't have a desire to and will probably want one more season at Chelsea. But if he had a desire to leave, he would be gone.

Also they would have bought de gea from united except for a dodgy fax machine. It wasn't deliberate resistance from united.

Barcelona haven't lost a top player to Madrid since Figo (who was essentially tricked into signing for Madrid tbh). And before then, I don't even remember the last time they lost one to Madrid. Maybe Ronaldo but that doesn't really count.

There's no doubt Real are interested. They had their former president Calderon coming out talking about Hazard in the press today. Desperate moves. Doesn't mean it'll happen. Hazard isn't even pushing for the move either. We have absolutely no reason to sell at any price. Roman wants to build the squad into a true European bahemoth, not sell the best players and deplete it.

Replace Ronaldo? Ronaldo is a first class athlete and the most popular footballer in the world. He may be 32 but with how well he's taken care of his body especially over the last 7 years, he can continue to play at a top level for another 3 years. He has 26 goals in 34 appearances for Real this season. Hardly a cry for replacement. It's not like Hazard is going to give them that output anyway. He's hardly a 20 goal a season player. And they won't get rid of Bale either. Bale will be there long after Ronaldo's gone as long as he continues to produce.

And as you said, Hazard isn't pushing for the move either so this whole story means nothing.

People are thinking that Ronaldo will be replaced are wrong. Ronaldo will be played as a no.9. That is virtually where he plays nowadays even if he starts at LW, he ends at no.9.

He don't have the legs for all the running down the wings as he did before and he is a perfect no.9. Can easily see Real having Ronaldo as their no.9 if they were to get Hazard.

If the paper (that gets signed) is printed from a fax machine, it's all legal, but if it comes out of a printer, it's not legal?

I've signed legally binding documents that were printed with a printer. If top European football clubs are such backwards organisations that they're still operating on 20 year old technology, then it's not my problem.

So you can't be sure how they operate at the moment. I simply can't believe that they still rely on fax machines in 2017, when so many negotiations run so close to the end of the transfer window. Papers are papers. What makes a fax machine copy of a signature more valid than a copy made some other way?

Even though he's not as consistent as we'd like, there are very few in the world like him when at his best...would take hazard to kick up a stink and I'm not sure he'd go to those lengths

How often do you see a club selling a star player and actually coming out stronger? Remember how United replaced Ronaldo with turds. Same case for Bale and Spurs. The money will be useless whether its 100m pounds or 150m. I honestly do not trust Emenalo and company at all to sign actual quality players. Kante really fell into our laps but we've had a mediocre record with transfers, especially some of the big name signings we've done. We have 4 players of real quality in this team. Courtois, Hazard, Luiz, and Kante. In europe that really isn't good enough and I'm pretty sure if we sell Hazard we are going to regress very hard.

 

Only hope is if they use all that money for a marquee player but they'll probably split it up into a few overpriced signings.
