When I was in high school, I used to be a complete transfer talk mark. Every day I'd check the paper talk section on sky news and look for what Chelsea was up to. I stopped after 2 windows because it was all a load of sh*t. You rarely hear correct Chelsea related news til a week before something actually happens

I have no doubt that RM would love Hazard...and their usual trick of using Marca as their mouthpiece has worked in the past...but I'm confident that Hazard will stay and sign a contract extension...can't see Conte selling him...we need to get more top class players in next season for our European ventures not lose them...saying that, if Costa does want to go then the £80m we would demand for him would get us Lukaku, Morata or Griezmann...

The Real Madrid, Spanish media propaganda machine has gone into overtime with this rumour in the last week. 

Picking out house and schools for Eden's children apparently? I wonder if Madrid have picked what colour he will paint his bathroom too?

Eden is not going nowhere i said last season When he was having a horrible time that he will be here i was laughed at and i will say the same again he will be here until at least 30

Saw reports yesterday that family comes before football for Hazard, which isn't hard to believe, and his family are happily settled in London so he won't move them.

Hoping it's all a load of sh*te.

Couldnt blame Hazard if he wanted to go, especially if we win the league. But talk of James/morata swap is a joke. They're not in the same league as him.

 

According to Sky Sports:

"Eden Hazard will be free to speak to Real Madrid over a potential move. Chelsea agreed with him last summer that they would listen to offers after this season, as last year was not the right time to sell him due to their disappointing title defence."

 

I would be gutted if he left but wouldn't be surprised. This is the first time that we've ever really had a player "supposedly" wanting to leave. He always said that he would leave on a high. Winning the league would prob be enough for him  

IF he did leave:

1) We need to secure a world record fee £90m plus. 

2) We need to reinvest that money properly with good players. 

 

Sincerely hope that I am wrong though and we keep him. Players like Hazard come around once in a generation.

But one player said it. Forgot who. It's the international break, media are bored and don't have any good things to write so they start making u p stories.

As much as I don't buy into all the transfer rumours. I wouldn't be too suprised if we lost hazard in the summer. 

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world, hazard has said he like to play there someday, and he said he would only leave here after winning the league which looks highly likely. 

I'd be gutted to see him go, I don't think we could replace him tbh, maybe bale or neymar would be able to replace his quality, but neither are available and I would swap eden for either givend the choice. 

I sincerely hope he stays. Probably the most exciting player I've seen in a chelsea shirt, even more so than zola imo. 

The scary thing is that if you replace Hazard with Willian and Pedro AND replace Costa with Morata - our attack looks weak and limp. 

Every time after winning the league, we have failed to back it up and bought poorly the following season. For once, I hope we go all out in the transfer market. 

an absolute must retain.  If we lose Eden we have to completely restructure the way we play.  Last game when he was out we lacked creativity and looked bland for long stretches.  

Despite the fact that Eden blows hot and cold too often, he is very, very clearly our most dangerous player. I don't think we could replace him with a similarly talented player if we sold him.

Cold hard fact is that we simply don't have the appeal of a Real Madrid or a Barcelona. They are above us and will be for a long time still, unless we start regularly winning the CL. So they will always be able to poach our players if they really want to.

If Real Madrid want him, they will get him regardless of the cost....money no object for them, a three team league at best and the only competition they get is in the Champions League so he would win everything. 

I guess it's every boyhood dream to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona so I wouldn't blame him if the opportunity came knocking, but by selling him we will never be able to build one of the biggest club sides in the world...if that's Roman's plan?  Every player would dream of having the chance to play for Real, on some players dream of playing for Chelsea........and we sold him to Everton!

I didn't come up with this, but when was the last time Roman sold 1 of our best player, or a player we wanted to keep? I could think of Robben, that's one player most people wanted to keep, but due to his injury record etc we sold him. Mata is another debatable one, but he wasn't getting games, same for the upcoming players like KDB, Lukaku. I don't think Roman would sell just for the sake of money or balancing the book. They can pay us loads of money, but so what? It's not like we could sign 2 players to replace him on the field.If Hazard is to be sold, it has to be a big name player in exchange involved, and I honestly don't think James is that player.

Another reason I hate International break, all we get is rumour, confirmed rumour about we lose our best players, bring the MF* football back!

It's certainly gaining momentum, I have no doubts Real want him but if we want to be the best we cannot sell him. It's difficult because you look and see they can pretty much sign anyone when they really want to ( Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo) so the club are going to have to take a tough stance here and hope Eden doesn't put in a request.

I just don't see who could come in and do a world class role that Eden can with those remaining years ahead of him. Who is there? 

If United and Barca can be rumbled by Madrid in losing their best players to them then we really could be in bother if they do come calling.

Hazard is under contract until 2020.

According to the rule, players can only have a direct contact to other clubs if they only have less than one year contract remaining.

Otherwise, the interested club need to seek a permission from the current club of the player.
