Both have been fantastic, still time to go. If Hazard continues his form and scores some more goals like recently he may just win it again.

I'm not fussed who wins it both have been unreal for us.

Some journos (Martin Samuel) do not like Hazard because of his dip in form last year and wouldn't vote for him. I still believe he had a knock and Mourinho persisted with him which hurt him through the season. 

I'm not so sure. Martin Samuel has a personal crusade against Hazard though. Part of it has to do with the weird infatuation he has for Jose. I was listening to Sunday Supp the other day and when Neil Ashton asked the three journalists who they'll vote for their FWA footballer of the year, two of them said Hazard, the other said Kante and it was guess who? Martin Samuel, lol.

As for Joe saying Eden can be our greatest ever player. Perhaps. I read that Eden just passed Eidur on our all time goals scored list. He's already a 2 time player of the year here and will most likely win it for the 3rd time if we can seal the championship. In terms of ability, Hazard is the best player to ever play for Chelsea BUT Hazard has to spend the best years of his career here (which I'm reluctant to believe he will) Chelsea also have to get back to being a relevant force in the Champions league again for Eden to be considered the greatest ever and he has to win it like Didier and Lamps did. We haven't been a relevant force in the Champions league since Drogba's final kick in Munich.

We could have gotten to another final if Jose didn't f**k up the 2014 semi final against Atletico though. Then again, we might have gotten pasted by a desperate Madrid in the final.

If he stays until 31 and is as good for the next 5 as he has been for the last 5 then it won't /shouldn't be debatable for me.

Has to win at least 1 CL and say 2 more titles apart from this year's if he stays that long. I don't think that's too much to expect from a player of his talent level.

What if we go to pens again in the final and say its one kick to win and Luiz is taking? Would Eden's status rest on a kick he has no control over? Personally i'd consider his stock higher if we won nothing and he was brilliant as opposed to we won everything but he declined into a bit of a passenger.

However you are right about his talent level, I'd dread to think what our style of play would have looked like last few years without him about.

Well let's hope it doesn't come to that. I can't take yet another CL final going down to penalties. Let's win one in normal time for once. I'm actually very optimistic about next year's campaign, especially if we get Sanchez as well. I think he'll Raise Hazard's game even further. Good for him to play with someone like that as he enters his prime.

Hazard used to want every pass at feet and rarely runs through the channels, which was frustrating because few defenders could catch him when he's on the move. He's definitely improved that aspect of the game, he wouldn't have scored the type of goal on Saturday 6 months ago. Credit to Kante too, his passing is getting better every month.

Phenomenal player! Should definitely win PFA POTY this season, i really want to see Hazard put in some world class performances at Wembley as well in the semi final and final (if we get there) that would put the icing on the cake.

Alli will get YPOTY so I doubt many will vote for him as POTY as well, Zlatan may get some votes but I don't think he will get as much as Hazard and Kante.

Alli did nothing until January so can't see him getting it. Hazard or Kante.

it's not my opinion of who should win it, its what I expect of the PFA. Remember Giggs getting it? Rooney over Drogba?

And Coutinhos inclusion proves that it doesnt matter if you only have a good 6 months, it matters which 6 months you are good in. Ali is playing well at the right time to have recency bias in his favour and Zlatan will get the 'I'm zlatan' vote and his scoring in a crap team. Kante doesn't play a position that gets rewarded and Costa was scoring at the wrong time to be considered. Hazard is playing well but not quite at the heights of 2 seasons ago so that will hamper him.

That's how I expect the PFA will vote.

PFA player of the year is where all the players in the league get to vote. PFA = players football association

FWA player of the year gets voted by the journalists. FWA = football writers association

There's also the barclays player of the season which gets decided by "a panel assembled by the league's sponsor – currently Barclays – consisting of members of "football's governing bodies, the media and fans".
