Martinez hasn't shown he's capable of winning anything and the last national team coach Madrid appointed didn't end well for them did it? 

I could see Madrid seeing how Solari gets on until the end of the season and maybe go for Pochettino in the summer who they wanted for this season.

I read just now in Spain you have to make a permanent appointment two weeks after putting someone in as a caretaker. 

I don’t know if they can get around that by offering a contract until the end of the season. Problem is then if he does well you have to abandon all other plans and give him a shot.

It’s Madrid, they’ve sacked managers immediately after winning the Champions League before.

Watched football focus today and they asked an 'insider' there about managerial developments and he said they were very close to signing Conte yet their captain read the riot act on Conte and Mourinho, the latter in case he was further down the list. Current chap, Solari has three matches to shine.

Once again completely changes the game when he comes on.

Unbelievable really 

Unsurprisingly caused problems with his dribbling from the moment he came on and contributed to the game's defining moment with his free kick. 

Sarri certainly has mastered the art of easing him into a game. 

Still doesn't look quite match fit. Shame because the injury seems to have stopped the momentum he had coming into the season. 

Hopefully Martinez doesn't run him into the ground during the international break and that he comes back that much fitter ready for the Spurs game.

How will the players be able to perform at the top of their game? I think at least 99% of all football fans, football clubs, players and coaching staff we amazed at that decision, apart from the corrupt crooks at the top of the football world.

Don't get why people get mad at Martinez for this. We'd kick off if England rested Harry Kane because of Spurs commitments. He's Belgium's best ever player, obviously he's going to play all the time. Imagine if he rested Hazard and they went on to lose and he loses his job, he ain't gonna risk that is he.

Useless piece of Sh1t manager, played Hazard for 90 in addition to those useless friendlies, still managed to lose 2:5 in a game he only had to not lose by more than a goal, because he has no idea how to get his team to defend.

Back to Hazard, need one his 9/10 game this weekend.

I get really pissed off if he plays full 90 mins for Belgium in friendly games because you have the likes of Aguero who get a free rest whenever Argentina have friendlies so that is annoying, however Belgium's 2 games over the international break were actual competitive games which they needed to win so I can understand Martinez playing him. He is their best player. Also, Martinez actually subbed him off in the 75th min against Iceland last week Thursday. So yeah, in all truth he had to play him for this international break.

I just saw an interview asking him do you have to go to Spain to win the BD as the last 10 years have shown, he said that’s why I want to go....
