Ivanovic was relatively ok - a rating of 6/10 at best.  A few needless free kicks given away by him but no major mishaps caused. 

 

Chelsea still needs to buy a younger and speedier right back next summer since Mourinho has decided that Azpi is his first choice left back.

I thought he started shaky on Saturday but overall made a significant improvent of his recent form, let's hope it continues!

 

Shaky? Absolutely! Significant improvement? No way! He was average at best, maybe he went up to 4/10 from 3/10 but that was because the whole team improved and he did not have to defend much. 

Clearly not in form but we can't just toss him under the bus .

Has been very poor so far this season. I would have liked to have seen him replaced tbh, and by that i mean us signing a proper LB and letting Dave take over from Ivanovic. If i was the opposing team manager and saw Ivanovic starting i would be licking my lips and telling my team to target him.

Was dreadful again against Walsall. I hate throwing players under the bus, but his form is terrible at the moment and he needs to sit out a few games. Worryingly though Rahman was also pretty poor against Walsall. I'd still go Dave-Rahman against Newcastle though, with Brana on the bench.

I don't think he was brilliant last season, all of the signs that he was going to stuggle this season were there last season, right from the first game against Burnley.

Good to know his contract ends soon. 

I love Mou i really do,but if he continues to play his favorites no matter what then questions have to be asked,because i dont see how he can possibly keep playing fabregas and ivanovic on current form,this is making me angry beyond belief

Ivanovic will play every game till the end of the season and then get a contract extension. However, Results will suffer because of his terrible form.

Should really be let go on a free after his contract runs out next summer.

i know it's a very disgusting thing to say and i'm ashamed of saying this but i'm on a point where i wish for him to get a knock so jose is forced to play baba so he finally have a chance to prove himself

Age is catching up on him and he doesn't have the pace to play as a RB anymore. If jose wants to play him as the captain, he should try slotting him beside zouma or something. But cahill deserves his starting place and jose being jose, will most likely play ivan as a RB for the rest of the season.

The main tactic for our opponents is quite clear: attack Chelsea's right side and you'll get opportunities to score. He's been identified as a weak link in our defense and that is being exploited regularly. Mourinho is too stubborn to drop his favorites and we're paying the price.

Thoughts would be father time has caught up to him.

He's the target in all games now cos other teams have worked out that he gets no cover what so ever from cesc, willian does help, not so much Pedro.....

my view....steady the ship for a while, play ramires alongside matic for next few games, drop cesc and use him as a sub to shake him up a bit.....willian Oscar haz and get a bit of speed/mobility going in our game again.....

Baba hasn't impressed yet so Jose will keep bran for his height etc at corners, freekicks........

This is getting really old, even Torres got the occasional games off due to his pool form, yet Ivanovic seems to be a completely different case. I think Jose is completely lost on the Ivanovic selection, could cost him the job this season. You can't afford to pick a full back that couldn't defend, couldn't cross, and hope he would score a goal from set piece to correct all his wrongs.

He has taken his poor form to new lows in that half. And I didn't think that was possible. José probably believes he is doing the right thing leaving him on. One look at Ivans' face would tell you he doesn't want to be out there. It is bordering on cruelty playing him every week.

I hope the boo boys understand that he's now out of position. He is never a right back in a million years these days and it shows big time.

Absolutely hopeless in everything he does. Beaten so easily every time anyone runs at him. Every "cross" - and I use the term loosely - is woeful. It's like playing 12 against 10

Playing him is just a bit cruel now. Dave at Right back and Baba at left back, please!
