I'm writing an article on this and I would like to know people's lists?

Crespo

Sturridge

Gudjohson

Anelka

Kalou

Hasselbaink

Torres

Kezman

Ba

Shevchenko

Drogba

Probably the 11 to pick from

Gudjohnsen

Wouldn't call anyone else on that list a top striker, at least not while they were with us.

Torres/Sheva/Crespo were each the best striker in the world at a time.

Ba could maybe get to #5 one day, hasn't really shown enough yet.

Drogba

Anelka

Hasselbaink (he did have one season in the Roman era remember)

Crespo

Gudjohnsen

Kalou

Sheva got injured after the Villa 4-4 (his best game for us) just when it looked like he was starting to find his feet in England. Shame.

Hasselbaink would have been number 2 for me had he been a few years younger and played a few more years in the Abramovich era. I thought he was class and i wish we could find another striker as good as him.

1. Drogba

Huge gap.

More like a chasm.

Still a huge gap.

Bit more of a gap.

Bit more.

2. Crespo

3. Eidur

4. Anelka

5. JFH (me and Liam weren't his biggest fans).

Sturridge and Kalou were predominantly played as wingers so I don't think it's fair to include them. (not that Eidur was played at centre forward especially often). Ba has only played a handful of games so no point with him either.

In terms of contribution to the club during the Roman era:

Drogba (streets ahead)

Anelka

Gudjohnsen

Crespo

Hasselbaink

Shevchenko (scored against Tottenham)

Kezman

Torres (obviously technically he has contributed more than Kezman but ultimately his influence has been purely negative)
