Sanchez is obviously another one, hope we will be able to snatch him. Despite all those transfer rumours, I think he's happy and will stay for a few seasons if not finishing his career with us Dear God, I really hope so. Losing someone like Eden would be bad, someone like Courtois bad, but losing Cesc would be devastating. As football only began in 1992, it's fair to say Cesc is the best passer of the ball of all time. It's not the fact that he's a good passer of the ball, but his wealth of experience, leadership and passion is so hard to replicate. Like many at Chelsea before him, Cesc has now turned into a winner. He's won 3 trophies at Chelsea in 3 seasons, and that could soon be 4. He's happy in London. He plays with gay abandon. He unlocks defences where others turn backwards. His vision is unrivalled.

He usually starts the season on fire and tails off by January. I think part of the reason for this is his underwhelming physicality. He can't really handle the rigors of a full season. But the way Conte has used him as subs here and there and started him here and there has meant that he still had a lot of fuel in the tank at the end of the season, which is bloody fantastic. Not to mention the added factor of how Conte trains and diets his players as well, which tends to improve players' stamina as they've all pointed out this season. He just turned 30 and his style of play means he'll still be more or less the same Cesc Fabregas at 34/35 a la Pirlo. He needs to be offered a 1 year extension on top of his current deal tbh.

July 17, 20179 yr The thing that makes Fabregas one of the best for me is his passes are weighted perfectly for his teammates. He rarely overhits them or sends the ball with too much power. His aerial passes are generally in front of you and bounces 1-2 times then slows down. Magic I tell you!! Edited July 17, 20179 yr by Deino
July 17, 20179 yr Author Imagine him sliding passes into Auba, would be a joy to behold, he's like other Spanish Magicians that are masters of 'Ball sports" Sergio Garcia, See, Rafa Nadal.... Edited July 17, 20179 yr by Ballack & Blu
July 18, 20179 yr Still a key ingredient in our squad. I'm glad Conte used him more and more towards the end of last term.
July 18, 20179 yr Bakayoko & Kante in a two man with Cesc in front? Hazard playing just off whoever our striker is? Could be a reason to change to a 3-5-2?

It's a massive shame Fabregas never got to play with Torres at peak in domestic football... They would be a match made in heaven.

That will be our backup plan. To use all 3 of our midfielders throughout the season is overkill. Conte made efficient use of Cesc. He's very very good but gets exposed at the end of matches due to his physicality. We can prolong Cesc's career this way Edited July 18, 20179 yr by Deino
July 18, 20179 yr remember Pirlo was a main cog of both Don Antonio's Juve & Italia sides. Cesc can be Chelsea's Pirlo. A DLP setting up our attackers. I am sure the fact that Cesc was playing at CFC was a reason for Don Antonio choosing Chelsea.
July 18, 20178 yr Haven't heard any roumours about him leaving so he must be content to play a role, don't think he will start but what a player to be able to bring off the bench
July 22, 20178 yr instead of calling Cesc, The Man in the Magic Hat, can I refer to him as the Blue Pirlo?
August 12, 20178 yr Gets way too heated when the going gets tough. Azpi too but Azpi at least reined himself in from time to time. Cesc needs to learn how to rein it in. Love the fire though don't get me wrong
August 12, 20178 yr cesc does those wild, senseless challenges too much. he did it a few times last season and was playing on the edge doing so. he needs to stop that and calm down.
August 13, 20178 yr I was adamant when I see the second tackle that he gets his foot on the ball before he connects with the man. Every time I watch it I'm sure I see the toe of his boot flick the ball then catch the man? If you win the ball snd your momentum takes you in to the man, that's not a booking or even a foul? Or am I seeing things and he's not actually touched the ball?

August 14, 20178 yr Absolutely lost his head for the second yellow. First one was idiotic. As a leader of our team he needs to be ashamed. Effectively lost us a possible point.
