Cesc Fabregas

A shame. A signing like a potential move for Suarez- undoubtedly talented player, would undoubtedly improve our team but is a real nasty twat that associated with both Arsenal and Barcelona, of all clubs.

Success should never come at the expense of a club's standards and chasing a cheating, diving twat who has lambasted our club in the past is a disgraceful move in my book, I don't care how good he is.

To those doubting this, Mourinho has admitted he's keen on him, there are quotes. Plus Barca have accepted the bid and I would imagine they would want to push this through as quickly as we do because they will be investing around about 18 million of the fee into buying Ivan Rakitic.

There's no chance in hell Barcelona would have accepted such conditions from Arsenal. Now, if Barca sells Fabregas for bigger fee than they'd bought him from Arsenal, I could certainly believe that they negotiated 50% of that profit to go to Arse. Meaning, if Barca bought him for 10m and sold him for 16m, they owe Arse 50% of the profit, which is 3m.

I wouldn't be surprised if they inserted a buyback option or first refusal stipulation, but none of this matters if Wenger doesn't want him back, and given his midfield options, I don't see why he would.

It's a fact that Barca still owe Arsenal something like £15m-£16m for his transfer, which is why I find it hard to believe Arsenal would turn him down.

You forget his blatant dive to win a pen against drogba in the nou camp in 2012...but for Messi hitting the bar, that bit of cheating would have knocked us out

Made the game what it was. How many times do you see Messi miss a pen? I will thank Fabregas for that dive. When they missed that pen, it gave us the hope that we could do the 'impossible'.

I'm sure we all would have said similar things about Ashley Cole when he was first touted as a signing here. Not sure anyone would have anything but respect for what he has achieved in his time here.

Ditto Mark Hughes. So he's had a few spats with a couple of our players in previous games. Big deal lets not get precious, it's not like we are signing Dean Saunders. I like his spirit. He seems a sensible guy and he won't hold grudges and nor should we.

Hope it happens.

His Gooner past makes it all the more tempting to be honest.

If he lives up to his potential within our current set up he would be another player they believe should have been a great for them that turns out becoming a key player in our new evolution and if he's as successful and effective as the last player we got from them then it will piss them of all the more while seeing us reep the benefits. Win Win

Add to that he is the exact type of player we are missing right now, He's bout a year older then Luiz and is looking about 13 million cheaper. I just can't see a down side here

He is actually the same age as Luiz.

it's not like we are signing Dean Saunders.

It's funny cause both Anelka and Ashley Cole became better players here, so fingers crossed if Fabregas does come he'll hopefully do the same.

I've always had the feeling since things moved forward that we would be showcasing both Costa and Fabregas together.

Hopefully next week

Just can't see Cesc happening any time soon. It's a hype train that has been blown way out proportion by people believing everything they see on twitter.

it's not though!

Yep. Spanish radio doesn't sound like the most reliable source for anything but Julio Iglesias music.

I like the player but I see him as a carbon copy of Mata and I rate Mata higher. I don't care about his past and what he's said. If Jose thinks he suits the setup go for it but he likes his players more to be tough and direct.
