Ok. So Cesc is a CM? Not an AM..? If that is the case he is the type of player we should be looking for. I don't really watch Barcelona so what do I know. He was excellent for Arsenal that I can remember.

Would need to sell their whole team, and then some, to afford him. However, he'd probably win the title single handedly in a league like the SPL anyway.

Oh, I was sure I read a few pages back that it was supposed to be announced Monday, or was it Tuesday, nah probably Wednesday or maybe even Thursday, hope its not Friday because that's the 13th……more speculation, more rumours…can't anyone be patient anymore?

I guess Cesc is closer to Arteta than Mata in terms of style. At Arsenal he was playing box to box but at Barca he moves around. Whenever I see him play he is either on the edge of the box or at the right hand side of the pitch close to Messi.

Both Catalan sport newspapers, Mundo Deportivo and Sport, claim on Monday that Cesc Fabregas' girlfriend has given the game away regarding his transfer, which they both think is to Chelsea.

Fabregas and Lionel Messi are good friends and spend a lot of time together and that's led to their respective partners becoming good friends too.

Fabregas' other half, Daniella Semaan, has an instagram account and exchanged some posts with Messi's other half, Antonella Roccuzzo, at the weekend. The gist of it was: Both ladies are very happy to have met eachother, are big friends, and will miss each other in the future.

The Catalan press are particularly excited by a hashtag used by Daniella Semaan which basically means 'I'll miss you' - therefore, they say, almost confirming the transfer is to take place.

Fabregas to Chelsea isn't being covered as a huge story anymore in Spain, largely because it's being treated as a done deal. However, with Spain now in Brazil it will be a little more difficult to complete and may have to wait until after the World Cup.

This will all surely lead to Messi to Chelsea claims at some point.
