October 4, 201411 yr Jose is becoming old and sentimental. I can imagine Fabregas going- Loves Arsenal, will always love Barca and from Jose's words looks like he is beginning to love Chelsea as well. lmao. Edited October 4, 201411 yr by Sing the Blues
October 4, 201411 yr I can imagine Fabregas going- Loves Arsenal, will always love Barca and from Jose's words looks like he is beginning to love Chelsea as well. lmao. LOL It was the next logical step. He was red, then he was reddish-blueish, now he's blue. But in all seriousness, he does look pretty comfy and happy in the team. You get attached to people, not the badge.
October 4, 201411 yr I think Jose's comments are said with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek. Just adding some extra spice and incentive to tomorrow's game.
October 5, 201411 yr Yeah, was great, even defensively. Fabregas-Costa have some amazing chemistry. Loved that he celebrated the goal. Arsenal fans were pathetic, as always.
October 5, 201411 yr They only boo the players who left on bad terms (Nasri, RVP) or did something to wind them up (Adebayor) as any other bunch of fans would. Fabregas did neither, actually wanted to go back and has said nothing but nice things about them. I'll be surprised if a single soul had the nerve to boo. LOL. This was rather predictable but the Arsenal boo boys were out in full force as predicted, more fool u for thinking they may take a day off.
October 5, 201411 yr That's two big games where he has been excellent defensively. Many fans doubted his ability to play in the pivot ( somewhat justifiably) but it shows that, as always, Jose knows best. Edited October 5, 201411 yr by venom2011
October 5, 201411 yr Author Love it when he is pushed fwd, actually the team is so strong with Mikel and Matic dominating, Cesc is given liscence to destroy...
October 6, 201411 yr It was cute when the Arsenal players tried to tackle him or Matic. It was like watching a school bully holding their lunch above their heads.
October 6, 201411 yr Think the Arsenal fans did a better job of motivating Cesc for the rest of the season than even Mourinho could. I would pay a reporter to ask Cesc, in a press conference " So after seeing how Chelsea fans treated Lampard at the Etihad, despite scoring a game tying goal for their direct title rivals, and after the reception you got from the Arsenal fans today, care to comment on any differences you've noticed between the two sets of supporters from the London clubs?" Think we can safely say, in addition to Wengers we don't need him comments, that Fabregas should feel very little loyalty for Arsenal anymore unless he is a complete nostalgia nut. Hope we've helped, and will continue to help, give him a reason to love this club even more by the time he leaves or retires.
October 6, 201411 yr The way he made both Sanchez and Ozil look like fools though. Worth every bit of 27 million.
October 6, 201411 yr What a player - kind of sad to say that early on in his time at arsenal I questioned if he had the physicality to become a real force in the prem. To this end I think playing next to matic and then when mikel comes on is great for him... I just love the way he has seen everything before he receives the ball. but he put him self about yesterday as well. Compare that to Ozil (who I do rate but feel he is just not going to cut it for wenger) he touched the ball 10 min in to the second half and I was shocked to see him as forgotten he had been playing.
October 6, 201411 yr Fabregas is 10 times the player Ozil is at the moment. He made a ton of tackles and was very strong on the ball. Only to top it off with a teriffic assist.
October 6, 201411 yr I was actually surprised the Arsenal supporters booed him. They had the chance to sign him but Wenger turned him down (thankfully) so what did they expect him to do? Our supporters responded in the right way and so did Cesc.

Our supporters responded in the right way and so did Cesc. Was always going to happen. He was their captain and a legend at Arsenal for many years, it's not his fault Wenger made an arse of it and passed on him. Playing for us must hurt them something awful, the boos were always on the cards as they have done it with Cole (although that situation was a bit different I admit). The abuse seemed to spur him on though which is great and his celebration for the Costa goal was great to see, you could see how much winning this game meant to him. It might be a different story at the Emirates later in the season as the abuse will be on another level but let's hope it has the exact same impact on him.
October 6, 201411 yr Fabregas was very pumped up, you could see the fire in his eyes. It was wonderful to see him put that kind of performance in.
October 7, 201411 yr It actually makes you wonder - if Jose (could see him playing deeper again, with his positional sense improving after just a handful of games, why the hell couldn't Barca.. And it's not like they had a wealth of options for that position. Anyway, their loss is our gain.

October 7, 201411 yr Cesc looked tormented in the interview after the game. No wonder. They tried to make his say something bad about the boo's but he said nothing but respectful things. Good man Cesc.
October 7, 201411 yr Cesc looked tormented in the interview after the game. No wonder. They tried to make his say something bad about the boo's but he said nothing but respectful things. Good man Cesc. Yeah it was poor form from the interviewer as per with Sky Sports. He answered difficult questions well, thanked his former fans and club while speaking well about his new club and fans. Shows his class that he didn’t hit the gooners back with the abuse they screamed in his direction during the game and ever since he came back to London. He will now know what to expect whenever we come up against the goons now so that’s a plus because he handled it so well.
October 7, 201411 yr Such a professional I love how he didn't let his love for Arsenal effect his performance.

Cesc stayed classy and respectful towards Arsenal fans in post-match interview, but the way he celebrated with Costa said it all. It was pretty obvious the jeering got to him. He was delighted by the goal, no regrets there.
October 7, 201411 yr I'm surprised he even noticed them to be honest... it was about time the Arsenal fans came up with a second chant, or were heard from at a football match.
