Sky Sports reporting this morning that PSG want Willian on loan for the rest of the season as cover for Neymar. 

I say take it. 

Go boom or bust with Hudson-Odoi. 

Basically make the statement of "you want playing time? Okay show us what you can do, you've got six months to prove you're worth the hassle".

Nah, I don't see how a loan benefits us there, it only leaves us more exposed. 

Why can't we just play CHO over Willian anyway? I think Willian plays a lot better when he comes off the bench also.

I would sell him though & throw £50m at Lille for Nicholas Pepe. He is tearing up the French league & a Chelsea fan.

You're right. I bet bad mouthing the manager and the famous instagram story were laughed about in the dressing room and everyone cheerfully went out for dinner afterwards.

I'm not sure if you're bantering me here. I mean, Willian literally posted a picture of Conte covered up on his Instagram story and then did an interview saying if Conte had stayed he would have left. 

Not really bantering (is that really a verb?)  I don't think either that saying you would have left if a manager who was obviously on his way out and was then sacked had stayed counts as "bad-mouthing" and I honestly didn't think that instagram jokes meant anything at all to adults (and, obviously, neither did Willian)

Willian obviously realised the picture was stupid as he tried to blame it on his daughter after. If it was just a light-hearted joke, that didn't offend any adults, why didn't he just admit he did it?

Quite clear to see the two didn't get on but believe what you want i guess.

Depends how precious you are I suppose.  I don't think saying some one was difficult to work with counts as bad-mouthing, myself, and no, they obviously didn't go to Ikea together, or stop off in Maccy D's on the way home from training.  I don't with my boss. 

Doesn't mean very much at all, in my book, but can be used to enhance a narrative is all I'm saying.

Unless he throws a tantrum and demands to leave, I don't see it happening? And why should he leave? He'll probably be on the same wages at PSG, given he'll be a back-up and the moment Neymar returns, he will be automatically on the bench. Here, he has 1 good game in 2 months and still play all the time. Dream job, if you ask me.

Same here. I put him in my Fantasy Team back in September after the first couple of times I saw him and he looks a real decent player and improving. Hoping he's what Mason Mount could be for us but to be honest, he looks even better than Mount, although he is a year older.

we don't know what's really being offered, if anything... 50M, yes I'd sell him now. 25M, yes I'd sell him now.

He's being played out of position as a winger, so he's not doing us any good. He's actually a detriment in the short term and possibly the long term depending on CHO's future. 

Need a replacement before selling him? CHO wasn't even in the 18 yesterday. We have a replacement.

Even so, as a winger, there are 10 DEFENDERS with as many or more goals as Willian. There's 14 defenders with as many or more assists, and I bet they don't take the majority of set pieces. 

Willian's 3 goals have come against teams that were all sitting 15th or lower when we played them. Gary Cahill could replace Willian as a winger and we'd see more goal production. 

Who could replace Willian on the wing? At this point, who couldn't?

I know this is radical, but after the past few performances, something radical needs to happen to break this team... but Willian would be MUCH better at LCM or even Left Back at this point. We praise him for his tracking back and winning a tackle, while we complain that our Left Backs are a shambles at defending... It couldn't have been any worse than it was yesterday with Willian at left back and Ruben at LCM. What's the worst that could have happened? Getting drubbed 4-0?  

Yesterday wasn't on Willian, don't get me wrong about that. I've said put a for sale sign on every player older than 25 not named Kante.

This is more about addressing the question on would you sell Willian now or not. Yes... sell... please... but I don't believe 50M for Willian ever happened.

There is no future with Willian as a winger... Something has to change. 

 

I think Willian tends to score when he plays on the left when Hazard is not there. In effect he is the ideal cover for Hazard.

On the right he is not as dangerous and his shots go astray. Pedro often plays on the right and his form is also hit and miss.

I think we need some genuine pace up front as neither Hazard, Higuaín or Willian offer it though CHO does.
