I still don’t think he played very well despite the goal. He did take his goal wonderfully well though. If he could do that on a regular basis he would be a terrific player.

Probably his best game for a long while despite not looking that great for much of it.

Apart from Hazard (10 G 10 A) & Pedrito (7 G) whom else in the team (up front & mid) has set the world alight this season ? Not many players have been consistent along with Willy admittedly, but why he is slagged consistently IDNK. The players hopefully don’t pick themselves so all the moaning of Willy starting over so & so, and him not performing like so & so week in week out is boring. The frustrations at overall performance lie at the door of the coach. Whose only been onboard since July and is trying to stamp his authority in real time on a team competing at the top end of the most competitive football league on the planet. So let’s back of the players and focus on the coaching, if we’re inclined to have a good old moan every 5 minutes. Willy has been a good servant among other positive things. In the heat of the moment watching down the pub, at home or luckily at the match frustration can get the better of us all and we can shout off our mouths.  But at the end of the day, Willy like the rest of the squad is a Chelsea FC player, playing for OUR team, the BEST on the planet imo. Why is it too much to ask to show some Respect to them, the other prem / cup clubs the players & managers are fair game. (Our players get regularly slagged on here much more than any from the opposition). Doesn’t mean they’re beyond reproach or criticism, but they don’t deserve the insults or their injuries celebrated as some on here have posted.

btw he bagged the winner yesterday gaining a valuable 3 points at the end of the day, he needs to stay until the end of the season and continue to contribute, still alive in 3 cups and the top 4 - everything to play for still. 

 

 

Willian tends to score when he plays on the left, Hazard's normal position.

I would not like him to leave mid season without adequate replacement.

Notice both he and Pedro scored one and missed one yesterday.

It was a really great goal he scored on Saturday and even sweeter because it was so important. My Mrs couldn't stop laughing from the kitchen though as all she heard was "Oh F*#!ing hell Willian!" (because I didn't think he was busting a gut to get in the box when Hazard had the ball), then 1 second later "Get in there Willian you beauty!". From frustration to joy all in the space of about 2 seconds.

Say what you want about Willian (most of us have). It's good to see a player who is being pursued by a top team publicly come out for his own club, and having his own club back him.

I think a lot of the frustration with Willian comes from his lack on end product in the final third, he puts in a shift and provides decent cover to the full backs. He possesses excellent dribbling skills & tends to link up well with Hazard however for a player who gets into such great positions in the final third the output is just not there. Everyone can see the ability he has and how he can pretty much single-handedly take the attack to the opposition even against the very best (His performance again Barca being the perfect example), this makes the inconsistency in terms of performance even more frustrating and baffling.

Combine the inconsistent performance with the alleged Barca offer & the emergence of CHO who could potentially leave as an indirect result of Willian keeping his place in the starting 11, this puts Willian somewhat under the microscope of scrutiny from the fans.

Pants again today, offered nothing.

Bored of seeing his tired contributions this season.

Just play CHO and see if we can’t unearth some genuine aggressive talent in the wide areas instead of Willian’s passive approach.

If a youth player puts in those performances we never see them again.  Some other players it just seems to cement their spot in the team.  If they tried half as hard as the opposition did maybe would have atleast got a shot in target..... f

To be honest, I think Willian has been our best player against Arsenal. He created two big chances in the second half. 

But I'd be much happier to see CHO playing instead of him or Pedro.

Not my fault i get annoyed seeing him make it look easy against lower league opposition to then do f**k all week in/week out in the prem. 

 

You might say when Hazard is not playing, he is our most important forward player. When Hazard is fit he is either on the bench or played out of position on the right.

Don't get me wrong sometimes he is frustrating yet Hazard also misses chances or makes a poor choice at times.

Be careful what you say against willian I got pulled up by some retard recently who accused me of wishing him ill. I didn’t. It gave us the chance to mix it up. He’s good sometimes but mostly a waste of space.
