I'm not falling for this again.

I come to accept he'll be a Chelsea player until the end of days.

Unless he throws a tantrum and demands to leave, I don't see it happening? And why should he leave? He'll probably be on the same wages at PSG, given he'll be a back-up and the moment Neymar returns, he will be automatically on the bench. Here, he has 1 good game in 2 months and still play all the time. Dream job, if you ask me.

don't forget the tax situation in France - that alone will keep Slick Willie at Chelsea

Exactly. Why would he ever want leave? Fat paycheck and gets picked every week no matter how he plays.

I am known to not rate Willian at all but seriously why would we leave ourselves short on the wing? Pedro is picking up knocks, Eden is sulking and CHO wants to leave so who becomes our forth option on the wing?

How hard could it be to replace three goals and three assists in the front three for a player who takes the majority of set pieces?

The three goals have come against Burnley, Newcastle, and Cardiff. All teams that were 15th or below when we played them.

Seriously. I know he's hit the frame a bunch this year, but for what he gives us in attack, just about anyone could replace his production.

And you're not trying to replace Willian's minutes, that guy was in the stands. Ready made replacement. You're just looking to replace Hudson-Odoi's minutes. That certainly wouldn't be hard.

I don't think there are any genuine offers for him. I'd send him out on a free if it meant Hudson-Odoi would extend.

I think @yorkleyblue kidnapped him and hid him in his basement!

Has released him now though so he'll be available for the Huddersfield game (to be replaced by Pedro on 63 minutes whilst CHO watches on.............................)

Obviously someone at the club values his contribution sufficiently to turn down £50 million** in two consecutive transfer windows.  What  the f**k do they know about football, anyway?

(** we know that this figure is true because several posters in here told us so because they read it on twatter)

Counter argument would be this is the same set up that spent £135m on Morata, Bakayoko and Drinkwater.

So perhaps they're not the best judge of what represents good value?

Two potentially top top players who never reached their "potential" with us and a Premier league winning midfield partner for Kante who, it appears,  has never had a proper chance (TM almost everyone)

f**k me, you must have been an excellent bowler with spin like that. Certainly be able to give Phil Tufnell a run for his money.

Reaching a bit here trying to make the £35m DD signing sound anything other than sh*t.

Would like to hear your positive opinion on a few more:

Zappacosta

Giroud

Djilobodji

Michael Hector

Pato

Falcao

Giroud

Legend. Shouldn't be on that list.

The team is in the middle of a goal crisis, so you think we should get rid of an attacker with no chance of replacing him with quality in the Jan window. Just goes to show your'e not thinking logically and certainly not putting the team first.

How can anyone say that Drinkwater's signing was sh*t?  f**ker's not even played for us.  Isn't that the main whine about people writing off other players that "waa, waa, waa, they never got a proper chance"?

Would like to hear your positive opinion on a few more:

Zappacosta - Decent enough backup, plays OK in the few matches he gets,  never gonna be the main man here

Giroud -  Does what Giroud does.  Seems to  work OK-ish with Hazard particularly, but never anything but a back-up's back-up or Plan C option to my mind

Djilobodji - Don't be silly

Michael Hector - Ditto

Pato -Ditto

Falcao - Wrong time, could have been good, but wasn't he injured or coming back from injury or something?

Giroud - Now this Giroud is the real deal  and most definitely the way forward, striker-wise, for the proper and global  implementation of Sarrismo in all it's wonderful gloriousness.

Contribution lol. Obviously can't be talking about his goals and assists (or lack thereof).

You should really concentrate sometimes.  Willian's career stats for  goals and assists are pretty consistent, wherever he has played.

He's listed as a midfielder, and his contribution is more in the transition from defence to attack than scoring goals.

Always has been, and in that role he ripped us apart in Europe so much and so well that we bought him.

So, no, I'm obviously not talking about goals and assists, and neither are any of his previous managers at club or international level.

Trying to insinuate Willian would help in our goal crisis in any way is laughable. His inability to score or assist, especially against worthy opposition, is one of the reasons we're in such a crisis and are so reliant on Hazard. As for replacing him, we'd have Hazard, Pedro, CHO and RLC for the wings. More than enough.

Consistently poor isn't a good thing.

And this right here is why we are over-reliant on one player.

What other top team plays a winger for their ability to bring the ball out from defense and do nothing with it?

City - Sterling and Sane. Both provide goals and assists.

'Pool - Salah and Mane. Both provide goals and assists.

Spurs - Alli and Son. Both provide goals and assists.

Utd - Martial and Rashford. Both provide goals and assists.

I know you are only a youngster and a product of the abysmal caricature of an education system that has been devastated by successive Tory governments, so I'll try to help you.

Exactly WHICH bit of "right-sided" or "midfielder" is it that you don't comprehend?

Comparing midfielders with outright attackers in such an envious manner is a bit weird, even for you.

You have gone down in my estimation with that comment. I thought you were a more logical thinker on here, but seems not.

We need Willian in the squad, four competitions still in progress, Willian knows how to win silverware, makes sense for him to hang around at least until were through this difficult season..

I'd like to see Willian at left midfield, as he's clearly not a winger ...

Front Six:

Hudson-Odoi - Higuain - Pedro

Willian - Jorginho - Kante

Hazard on the bench as the impact player for Plan B (intrigued to see how we get on if the maverick individual maestro is benched in favour of the team and system).

I grew up under a labour government and was educated within one so i don't really understand what point you're trying to make with that comment.

Willian is a winger. He played has a winger under Sarri and Conte. Sure you could argue he was more of a right-sided midfielder under Mourinho but that was years ago. Times change hun.

I'm sure i was quite far down your estimations anyway haha.

I don't see how losing Willian and replacing him with RLC thins out the squad at all, 4 players for 2 positions. Can't see many people offering close to what is being rumoured (yes, i know they're just rumours YB) as we have been offered for him. £50m + for an aging, inconsistent winger.

If i engage with you, i bare you.

RLC is not a replacement, we already have him, the more options Sarri has, the less excuses he has for not using them.

Even if he isn't a new replacement, he's get us through to summer when we could sign Nicolas Pepe. 4 wingers would be enough.
