Another £30m attacking midfielder, just what the squad was crying out for. I'm glad Jose is working hard getting the most out of the current squad and developing our youth policy. A 32 year old Eto to, to keep Lukaku on the bench even longer would just about top things off.

He's been here 6 weeks, Jesus.

I'm still baffled by this signing to be honest and this isn't because Willian isn't a quality player because he is, but we don't need him for the structure of the side. We already have enough players who play in similar positions as he does, but I have faith it'll work out somehow. 

I don't mind signing Eto'o as most of the media are expecting though.

I would say. Maybe I had a bit too much faith in him when he first returned claiming he needed to work with the team and develop youth, his first signings showed promise, highlighting the need for a new DM and bidding for Rooney also looked like he knew what the team needed, but now Willian and possibly Eto, just strikes me as the usual pointless short term approach we've seen time and time again. Not that I'm saying either are Jose choice, but there are far better plan B and Cs out there.

It's obvious why he didn't go to Tottenham, too many Willie's hanging out there already.

Well, if I could choose what spurs transfer we could have hijacked this week it would have been the Lamela deal, that's not a bad plan B to the Rooney bid. Plan C I would be happy to use the three forwards we've got, if Rooney doesn't come now if he continues to segregate himself from the rest of the united squad I can't see them holding on to him forever. Bit of patience never goes amiss.

There's discussion and there's the consistent complaining we seem to be having here.

 

If it's not moaning about signing a £30m player, it's moaning about selling a player who wasn't performing for us. It's incredibly frustrating to read.

We play about 3 games a week. For once we wont burn out our players by february. It's stupid to play 21 year olds for 60 games a season because there is no capable backups.

We won't burn our attacking midfielders out by February, that's for sure. Defensive Midfield, Left Back, Centre Back and Strikers on the other hand.

We have like 4 cb's , 2 rb's, 3 strikers. Bertrand-ish for LB cover. I don't see the problem?

We have 2 for every spot which is good. Jose said 22 so that is pretty much 11+11...

I see your concern on the youth but our business is built on success. We need those trophies and Champions League football to make any sense financially.

But if you look at our current squad to the one that won the CL we have a very young and exciting team here.

Who we calling the fourth CB? Bertrand is not adequate cover for Cole who could well be gone next season. As for the strikers, time will tell, but if one of the picks up a injury, we'll be looking frail.

So you want Jose to use youth, but not Bertrand or a young cb. Right about strikers though, which is why we are actively looking to bring one in.
