Torres for me, did everything you can ask of a striker.

His pace and movement was good and but for some poor passes/desicions by other players may have scored more.

Been our best striker so far this season and will be unlucky not to start against Spurs.

Easily Michael Essien.

Best defensive midfield performance this season and not to shabby driving us forwards either. Must bear in mind it was only Swindon but imagine what he could do if he was match fit and stayed uninjured? Hear me now Yaya Toure - The Bison is still alive and knows where you live.

PS: Torres will win the votes on here though.

Between Bison and Torres. I'm not a Torres hater so no problem giving him my vote. It was the assist for Ramires goal and swung it.

Essien for me, looked like he might have given Jose a real option and I was surprised at his fitness.

Torres done well and the ball to Ramires was a peach, if only he could do it at the highest level.

Easily Michael Essien.

Bang on just, as usual.

It may only have been Swindon, but Essien was the real plus of the night. He was still driving forward in the 90th minute.

Top, top display, and plenty of bite in the tackle too.

Essien's performance was an even bigger plus considering the injury to MvG.

Didn't think he had the legs for that kind of performance anymore and was pleasantly surprised.

Nice touch JT letting him keep the armband too.

Going to go with Torres too.

Just the type of game he does well in.

Oooh damned with faint praise indeed bjd but I would agree.

Another very familar chapter is written in the Book of Nando and as welcome as it always is against the weaker teams, (a wins a win, and a goals a goal), you still left yearning, after three long years, for a just one, grab 'em by the bollocks, 90 minute, match-winning performance on the big-boys stage like Aguero's on Sunday. For that reason I personally find it hard to get excited anymore.

I went with torres, Mighty performance from Essien but Torres for the second game in a row that he started, played with intent and looked something like a quality striker. Those who lament the one on one misses, Well I'm sorry but strong chance you have never played to a decent level. If the keeper goes down a little quicker with the first attempt the ball goes over him and every one is saying what an excellent finish. Fact is the keeper did everything right.

What impressed me was the tenacity of his play, wanting to get on the end of things, wanting to get in to the box, driving the ball forward him self at pace, going to goal.

I went for Torres as I felt that he was a decisive part of the difference between the two sides, involved in both goals. We were at our best in the half an hour that Ramires was on the pitch (credit to him too for the goals), but as he only played for a third of the game I thought it was a bit unfair to vote for him - Essien and Bertrand also put in good shifts.

Incidentally if Mata worked as hard as Torres off the ball his inclusion in the first XI wouldn't be up for debate.

Essien all the way. Those surging runs through the middle are quite simply pornography.

Torres seems to have found his level   Good performance and excellent work rate, exaggerated by many though.

Torres for me, hustled well all night and had other players looked up or provided a better pass he would have had at least 3 or 4. Essien was good the rest though were so-so, Mata and Willian included

Excited yet?
