Agree to disagree - I don't think he wanted to score on his old club - I am sure he feels bad that they lost today - just like telly tubby would have if he coached CFC today.

:face_palm:

Incredible that just 3 points out of these 20 and we would be firmly in the driving seat.

City to be fair have dropped points against a lot of the dross aswell, but I guess we did the double over them and they lost to Liverpool.

Just need to learn how to beat well organised defences.

Didn't you say CFC had too many Friends on the team? I saw some people being critical of their play today

All hail the special one, and screw liverpool. I was worried when Kalas' name was in the starting 11, but we defended superbly. It's not like they missed a lot of easy chances ( maybe the Sakho one), and our GK didn't do anything extraordinary either. At the other end, we threatened every time we went forward, and the first goal was 50% slip up and 50% good pressing. The only pity was Torres didn't score the goal and put a finger up to the booing scousers. However he did the right thing and we won, so let's give the guy a break. No dodgy penalty, Liverpool looks not all that flash all of a sudden.

Yeah no friends in that starting XI

Schwarzer is essentially a grandad in footballing terms.

Cole is a lone wolf and knows how much people just want to try and screw you over.

Nobody knows Kalas.

Ivanovic is too scary to have friends which aren't through intimidation.

Dave, ok Dave is pretty popular.

Mikel's best and only friend left in 2012

Frank is a family man. Doesn't need childish football friends.

Matic has question marks.

Schurrle is German.

Salah almost ruined our season with his displays against us in the champions league.

Ba is a cool guy to be fair. Used to see him out and about in Newcastle a bit. Sure he's a popular fellow.

city and you friends forever. they help you win the league next year as you have sealed the league for them with their win today. jose and city hand in hand

You can do that in one post! Not 95!

sorry if it sound repeating myself but you and city have today done it. ended liverpool hopes and city will lift league on may 11th, us fa cup on may 17th and you champions league on may 24th

I was playing in my Sunday league after the CFC match. I noticed that today we spoke & got on each other quite a bit. The end result? We won 4-2. I think sometime a bit of criticism keeps one on their toes & aware of what is going on.

can I also make a pt about the so-called atmosphere today...not intimidating at all...just a bunch of whingers and flat rendition of YNWA...nothing like 2005, which admittedly was one of the most intimidating atmospheres I have ever heard...considering they were going for the title here, they were flat

Journos have been public enemy no.1 on this site lately, but there is an exception to every rule...not the first time martin Samuel has stood out and his match report of the game is spot on...even highlights Rodgers acting like a nob...

They're playing the old "No history" card again on RAWK. What a bunch of bitter and sad old tossers !

Argh. How ANYONE can support Chelsea evades me. I mean, there's not anything likeable about the club: no history, all unlike-able players, annoying manager and terrible, terrible fans.

Hahahahaha they only play the history card because a vast majority of their success happened before most of their current supporters were born.

As for terrible fans, I consider it an absolute embarrassment for England as a country to have Liverpool as a geographical location attached to it, let alone the grotty little toerags who support their football club.

I have said it before, I look forward to the day they lose the title and when it actually dawns on them that they blew their best opportunity for another 30 odd years.

We all saw what that was today. Exponential sh*thouse horse sh*t. Martin Atkinson pointing at his watch, adding on more time for the plastics to murder - what a f**king coward. He pulls a card out for it at 92 f**king minutes, when he had to put a stop to it in the first five minutes. Death by football? Death by death. Despicable. Insufferable."

We're Liverpool FC. We don't win things the easy way. Six more points up for grabs and City aren't exactly flawless or choke-proof.

Mourinho's Chelsea will get theirs on Wednesday. Personally hoping it's a last minute Iniesta-like "f**king disgrace" of a goal. That vile anti-football club deserves nothing less.

Well done Martin Atkinson. You had your kecks pulled down in front of 45000 people today and millions mpre on tv. You are a f**king embarrassment.

And any reds on here giving any credit to that vile Portuguese c*nt for any reason...go and support another club because you don't f**king deserve to support this one.

Haha y'know what.... this is how I hope it goes down.

- We decimate Norwich City (nothing personal against the canaries)

- City stuff Everton

- Palace pull one over on Liverpool and secure a last minute victory

- City lose to Villa giving us the edge

- We crush Cardiff

- Newcastle pull off a surprise victory against Liverpool

And City comfortably stuff that bar steward fat Sams Hammers to secure second place, leaving the scousers miserably placed at third with sour grapes.

I watched the first half until I left for church, and then I followed it on my mobile on the way (it's a bit of a drive from my house to my church), and found myself compulsively refreshing the Sky Sports Web site. When it was time for church, I was happy to know that we were ahead 2-0 thanks to Willian's goal just before full-time. I told my godson after church, and it made me happy seeing him run around screaming "Chelsea wins!" for a good reason.

Did anyone else have the feeling that we were eventually going to get screwed by a referree mistake, especially in the last 10 minutes? This game didn't have too much to complain about in terms of game-changing poor calls, but there was a few non-calls on liverpool handballs, and also a few Liverpool corners that shouldn't have been given (especially late). I would have been pretty pissed off if Liverpool scored on one of those corners.

On the handball in the box, I am not going to complain too much. It could have been given, but a non-call is also pretty justifiable there.

When Kalas and Sterling went shoulder to shoulder and Sterling went flying over I really did think it was going to be a pen, time seemed to stand still and everyone turned around and looked at the ref waiting for him to bottle it and award it.

He ref'd it really well for the most part (aside from not giving the pen for Flanagan's handball). Thank god it wasn't Clattenberg.

Nice plan but no way Villa get anything more than a stuffing at City.
