Unfortunately 20 mill is just a drop in the ocean nowadays. Would love for us to find a left footed Dave for the price we paid for him but I don't think it will happen

He was the best left back in Europe last year. 20M is cheap

I think Branagh will play more in the centre this season.

I think it is expensive for Luis although have to consider salary cost as well. By comparison rvp was 29 when he went to Manu for £24 m

He is a very good call for us, just the the full back that was needed the other night, then Jose is light years ahead of that clown.

Pretty happy with this, Terry no longer plays every 3 days, so this will see Ivanovic play centre back in all the group games of cl, and possibly more depending on injury.

More importantly it allows us better balance going forward, and even though we are losing Ivanovic's height at right back, Felipe Luis is pretty tall for a full back as well.

Some folks might say why spend close to 20m for Luis. I believe, it means less games for JT, it keeps him fresh later in the season when he is much needed.

Personally, I am happy to see Luis on the team.

His crossing is pretty poor, he's far better at CB. Probably rotate with Terry so as to keep him fit.

Is he gonna drop Azpi then? I don't know. Ivanovic's crossing is rather bad tbh. Luis is pretty tall himself.

Plus with the sale of Luiz I think that cements Ivan as a CB/RB cover
