Here's why I find Guardiola overrated, his teams have no plan b

Bit of a disservice to him, still the best manger on the planet for me. I reckon most Chelsea fans don't like him due to the Mourinho factor which I can't get my head around. You just can't plan for a player like Messi.

Maradona single ha dislike carried Napoli and Argentina, Messi is the best player at Barca but over the years he's had guys like Xavi and Iniesta, Maradona didn't have that. I think the fact Maradona carried an Argentina team to the World Cup on the biggest stage makes him the best of all time personally.

Messi might be the greatest of our time but not of all in my opinion. And tbh I still would only out Messi and Ronaldo on par anyway.

Here's the thing....I never watched Maradona live so there's a flaw in my thinking. I was 3 in 1986. How old were you?

I honestly look back and think why did Bayern get Pep? Was it Heynkes they had before? He should have been forced to sign a new deal.

Heynkes Bayern was brilliant. His Bayern would not have lost 3-0 tonight or get ripped apart by Real Madrid last season. Bayern were the best side on the planet under him. They are still a great side, but they have gone down a level since Guardiola took charge.

I wasn't born but I've seen stuff since, hence why I said Messi could be maybe considered the best of our era.

Disagree, think he's very overrated. Never had to do any building, every club he's been to everything's been there for him. Proof is there, when his teams have been taken apart be it by Inter, Bayern or us he doesn't know how to get his team back in it. He's always relied on a star player to get him out of sh*t.

I thought it was a mesmerising game

Not saying it was sh*t, but sky were talking like it was the best game they have ever seen...hardly that good was it? Bayern didn't even have a shot on target and barring one lewandowski chance, never looked like scoring

Neymar was awful that game.

Should have been off aswell

Agreed

Actual on the field play wasn't that good to be fair but the game was mesmerising to watch

Game over. Tie over.

Hopefully an El Clasico final.

Don't understand why people say this every season, you can watch that match up in the league. Why bring it over to the CL final, that would be incredibly boring for me.

Brilliant game. Bayern were brave but were ultimately undone by a little genius, and it's a privilege to see him play.

Unquestionably the best player in the world, and unquestionably the best team in the world.

Neuer can count himself particularly unlucky, what a keeper, kept them in the game.

The fact Messi made him look a mug with his second goal speaks volumes of the little man.

Neuer stood up, did everything right, yet Messi dinked it with his weaker foot.

A sweeter goal you will rarely see.

Too bad Pep, I won't be shedding any tears for you.

So since Pep won the champions league in 2011, his CL record is the following: Losing to the worst Chelsea team since Enrique De Lucas was in the squad, Losing 5-0 to Madrid last year and 3-0 down at HT to a side who have evolved since he was there. On top of that, a side playing his tactics lost 7-0.

His tactics, at the very highest level, have been found out a bit.

I think he's quicker for one over distance, in the air definitely and he's more powerful

Quicker? Not sure that's true. Ronaldo has a significant height and weight advantage but how often do you see Messi shrugged off the ball? How many times tonight did you see him surrounded by two, three, four opponents trying to tackle him and still he comes away with the ball. Ronaldo doesn't have that level of touch, balance, reactions, anticipation that makes that happen. It is truly mesmerising.

The best managers have a plan B, he doesn't. If he was our manager, teams would eventually adapt to our playing style. You need a plan B in the Premier League, you also need a defensive plan to succeed. I have never seen a team win the Premier League that didn't have a decent defense.

Barring a miracle, the tie is over. True, Bayern were missing three of their best players, but no excuse for that result.

When Barca play at their very best, there's only one team that can stop them - Chelsea.

Guardiola went at the game, perhaps naively, without his best players and lost to one of the greatest sides of all time, primarily down to the best player of all time.

Parking the bus and luck seem to be the best tactics.

The best club side I've seen for a long time. Heynkes' Bayern were absolutely ruthless.

Agreed and it's an awful match now, both teams just cheat, dive, etc to try and get an advantage for anything.

On Fox Sports they are saying that was one of the best Champions League games they have ever seen.............really ? Yesterday's was better than todays.

They also let Alexi Lalas and Eric Wynalda be  pundits, so you really shouldn't take anything they have to say seriously.

It was a meh game saved by 2 moments of magic from a genius.

It wasn't even the best Barcelona team of the past decade either, the Barca of 5-6 years ago were far better IMO.

Sky are....well Sky. Useless

Having to watch the CL ties like these on Fox and hearing from you all about how bad Sky is really makes me appreciate how good of a job NBC does with the BPL over here.
