August 2, 201411 yr This Man United v Real Madrid game is really good. Ashley Young having the game of his life so far http://firstrowusa.eu/soccer/first-real-madrid-vs-manchester-united-row519035 Edited August 2, 201411 yr by JoeyN
August 2, 201411 yr Liverpool are probably kicking themselves with this United v Madrid game attendance Lol The only year the rags don't have Champions League football and they milk their global popularity with every last drop, Big attendance after big attendance whilst Liverpool messed around buying Charlie Adam and wallowing in their glory days of the 80's, The rags are making sure they stay relevant, It pains me to say it as a blue but Woodward has done well this off season with the appointment of the dutch c-n- and also the signings and all of the marketing lark. Having said all that, The 3 genuine CL contenders, Chelsea, Bayern and Barca have all stayed home, Europe that is. With Real Madrid not being able to win the CL this year what with the repeating process being impossible, Those 3 i mentioned are the favorites, Bayern favorites with Barca and Chelsea joint second favorites with us and PSG the dark horses. I say it every year but in the words of Tyler, This season is going to be STUPENDOUS.

Ashley Young having the game of his life so far http://firstrowusa.eu/soccer/first-real-madrid-vs-manchester-united-row519035 You can see Van Gaal's influence on them already, quick to get behind the ball when they lose it. Good game and a deserved lead so far.
August 2, 201411 yr I may be wrong but I suspect celtic had very little first teamers playing considering they only played a champions league qualifier away from home 2 days ago and have another this week they fielded a pretty strong team (for them). I think they were looking for a confidence boost before Wednesday and it went a bit wrong...
August 2, 201411 yr You can see Van Gaal's influence on them already, quick to get behind the ball when they lose it. Good game and a deserved lead so far. i agree - it took them a while to get sorted after they took Mata, Rooney and Valencia off but they deserved the win and Real did throw Ronaldo, Bale, Modric etc at them
August 2, 201411 yr Ronaldo came on late. Manures played well to win though. Gaal got them playing well enough during their preseason games.
August 2, 201411 yr First premier manager to receive his marching orders? my money is on Monk - WBA. Monk's at Swansea mate. I think it's going to be Fat Sam that gets the boot first.
August 3, 201411 yr Watching the Liverpool, AC Milan game, Sterling with an absolute disgusting dive and the ref gave a penalty for it. Utter crap.
August 3, 201411 yr First premier manager to receive his marching orders? my money is on Monk - WBA.I'm going for Alan Irvine, West Brom. As for outside bet, Redknapp? I can see him getting the boot when QPR are rooted to the bottom of the table with no points. Man's gotta dream, right? Edited August 3, 201411 yr by Huttsey
August 3, 201411 yr Pardew at Newcastle might be a good shout. A bad start coupled with their poor end of last season could be the end of him there. Edited August 3, 201411 yr by TJB
August 3, 201411 yr As for outside bet, Redknapp? I can see him getting the boot when QPR are rooted to the bottom of the table with no points. Man's gotta dream, right? I hope they get relegated with him still in charge. That way he can't come out with any sh*t about he would have kept them up or can't lay the blame elsewhere, though I'm sure he'd try.

Ashley Young having the game of his life so far http://firstrowusa.eu/soccer/first-real-madrid-vs-manchester-united-row519035 Actually broke the attendance record with 110K people showing up to watch it. Who was it on here saying a meaningless tournament for Yanks? Think the sport has officially broke the mainstream now. United play Liverpool for the final on Monday night in Miami.

Nah every few years after a world cup they say football in america is finally coming out of it's shell when really it never does or even gains any real momentum.
August 3, 201411 yr First premier manager to receive his marching orders? my money is on Monk - WBA. Agreed, can't stabs the git either so wouldn't be too sad (also he's at Swansea) Edited August 3, 201411 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
August 3, 201411 yr Monk's at Swansea mate. I think it's going to be Fat Sam that gets the boot first. Wouldn't shock me either that one, simply because the fans don't want him there, can't wait til they sack him then get relegated they might start to think Big Sam wasn't so bad afterall.
August 3, 201411 yr How about Frank to Citeh until January? I am a bit disappointed by his decision, I must say. Why Frank has agreed to it is beyond my comprehension.
August 3, 201411 yr How about Frank to Citeh until January? I am a bit disappointed by his decision, I must say. Why Frank has agreed to it is beyond my comprehension. Already two threads on this issue
August 3, 201411 yr Didn't see the utd game. How did they play? I heard they played well. Did both teams have strong teams out.
August 3, 201411 yr Nigel Pearson for me, The promoted champions have tended to struggle in recent times and with Leicesters foreign owners i could see them pulling the plug on him if they are in the relegation zone after 10/12 games, The problem with putting your money on the likes of Pardew, Big Sam and Redknapp is whilst they may struggle, Those 3 managers have good relationships with the chairman and all of their chairman are understandable type of men. The best way to make money on the sack race is looking at every chairman and seeing if they have a trigger happy approach and how is their overall relationship with the current manager, I mean look at Fulham and Cardiff last year, Both had nutcase chairman's and they both sacked managers.
