Someone posted this comment on the Daily Mail's website about Steven Gerrard's slip. Couldn't have put it better myself.

Craig, Sheffield, a day ago

Can people stop calling what happened vs Chelsea a 'slip'? It wasn't a slip. A slip implies Gerrard was somehow unlucky. Anyone can slip. No. It was a miscontroll of the ball. He only slipped trying to make up for his mistake. He came into defense to receive the ball, took his eye off it and let it roll under his foot. It's there for everyone to see. It was a piece of bad technique that was the problem, not the slip. Let's call it 'Gerrard's miscontrol' because that's what it was.

Celtic lost 4-1 away to Legia tonight. First leg of the CL-qualifier.

Their manager is Ronny Deila, a norwegian that was in the studio as a pundit for one of our CL-games last season. He then said "i would rather lose then play as Chelsea do".

Wonder if he still feels the same...

he's not exactly a manager who deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Jose Mourinho. Ronny Deila clearly has inflated notions of his own talents and those of his football team

Great result.

Anyone else watch the Pool - City game? City dominated it until Yaya came on for Jovetic, then Yaya quite plainly did not give a f**k and walked around the pitch not doing anything and Pool ending up winning on penalties.

Even Yaya's penalty screamed of indifference.

Why did you take her back? One or two of my ex's have tried that before and i just flat our refused. You break up for a reason, people dont change so the same old problems will still be there.

You might be surprised (case in point: me).

Liverpool fan converts Torres shirt into a Lambert shirt. Must be short of a few bob.

Most clubs have released new kits ahead of the new season, and most of them cost a whopping £60 – and even more if you want printing.

So it’s totally understandable that some football fans have been ‘recycling’ their jerseys by making adjustments to the names on the back.

However, we’re not having this Liverpool fan who tried to convert his old Fernando Torres top into a Rickie Lambert offering.

It was spotted at the Yankee Stadium in the early hours of the morning when Manchester City took on Liverpool in a friendly.

Penalties?  In a friendly?  Why not just call it a draw for heaven's sake?

Ah right - haven't been interested enough to follow their pre-season.  I assumed it was to pander to American audiences who don't understand draws!

its the tournament thing so has to have a winner for progression.

Jovetic could be massive for City. I'm a big fan.

Jovetic looked brilliant, think he'll bag a lot of goals this season. As good as they were going forward their goals came out of us flailing around the back, Lovren is excellent at organizing the back so hopefully he'll help us out there. The more I see glen johnson play the sadder I get, flanagans much better than him, I only want to see him in cup games at best from now on, he's sh*te. Sterling looked brilliant and he's going to be a big big player for us this season, having said that I'm not confident sturridge will step up in the absence of suarez, we need another goal scorer

What has ever body been trying to tell you, you think we were all kidding?

i think we'll get a lot more goals from midfield and concede a lot loss mind

When he scored that goal against Chelsea in the FA Cup last year I knew he was special.

Everyone liked Jovetic before he went to City. Expected a lot more from him in his first season. Was he injured??

He's been like that since he joined City, it's why he will never be a world class player.
