Wow that's a ridiculous amount, how can they afford it under FFP though?

Ya I don't quite understand how PSG is going to stay in their FFP restrictions unless they go selling Cavani, Lavezzi and Pastore.  But even then....

I suspect we will see a PSG forward at Chelsea this summer or next. The deal involving Luiz may have some kind of agreement that we buy one of their players when the time comes. PSG cannot be that f**king stupid to give us that much for Luiz; even someone clueless about business would know that, that deal was a bad piece of business.

Schneiderlin & Rodriguez off to Spurs by the looks of it.

There will be no-one left at So'ton at this rate. They're becoming my outside tip for relegation.

interesting point raised on the radio earlier. there was no way southampton could really hang on to their good players, because of FFP they don't have the ability to spend big on other good players and convince their current squad that they are building a team to challenge for europe. All they could do really is sell to the bigger clubs.

FFP, re-defining the word "fair" since 2014.

Can't see it tbh

Compare and contrast.

Costa,Felipe, drogba, fabregas for around 70 mill.

Or Lambert, lallana, louvren, markovic For about the same.

Depends on what you mean when you say spend big, they were never going to shell out £20m+ on a player regardless of FFP or not, but the money was there for them to add to their squad like them buying Ramirez for £14m-£15m and they had a chance to covince the squad of their ambitions but the board messed it all up with internal conflicts which lead to Pochettino leaving.

Nothing to do with FFP this time, Southampton messed up.

Funny, all my Liverpool friends are beyond excited with lazar markovic.  Granted I only watched about 15 mins of their match the other night, but he gave the ball away three straight times.

Yeah realistically Southampton only really had to sell shaw. Then they could have reinvested 30m on an already decent team.

I can see them really struggling this year.

So Redknapp's claiming Liverpool are lying about Remy failing a medical.

Says the man who opened a bank account in his dog's name. Couldn't care less what that Gargoyle says.

Maybe Remy refused to say Liverpool are the biggest club in the world so they pulled the plug on the deal.

That's exactly the problem. The medical found Remy of completely sound mind.

So LVG has made Shaw train alone as he believes he`s nowhere near fit enough. Very strange thing to come out publicly about. I can just imagine the furore had Jose sid this if we had signed him,

Disgusting and why so many fans are being priced out of watching their team (I know I have).

£1 per minute to watch the sh*t that Spurs serve up? Pfffft.

Where does it end though, surely we're approaching a glass ceiling of ticket prices where soon it becomes too expensive and clubs struggle to fill the grounds?
