July 26, 201411 yr But did Henry score a winner to claim the Champions league cup? No? Didn't think so! Only idiots bring up stats to judge a player. Drogba wasn't a goal scoring forward, goals just came with him, when he played everyone else scored goals around him, very clever player. Did you ever see him pushing Kyle Walker offside before to let Ramires onside in the 5-1 thumping we gave them in the F.A. cup? Classic!
July 26, 201411 yr Did you post this video for them? That last goal he scored against them for us at the Bridge is such an underrated goal. If Henry had scored that it would have been talked about for years.
July 26, 201411 yr That last goal he scored against them for us at the Bridge is such an underrated goal. If Henry had scored that it would have been talked about for years. I've always said that, actually I think we had a conversation about that goal before? When you made a thread of all the Arsenal wins for which one is best. The best part was when Cole gave the assist and you could tell he was f**king chuffed about it, he made that one pretty clear. It's a shame his goal got disallowed that game, would have been great for him to grab one, he even celebrated right away so we know his true feelings of Arsenal. Edited July 26, 201411 yr by Slawth
July 26, 201411 yr Henry is in my opinion the second most talented player (after Ronaldo) to ever play in the Premier League, but Drogba is the essential big game player. For arguments sake, i'd have Henry as the main league striker, with Drogba starting all the cup and CL games.
July 26, 201411 yr Did anyone else know there are websites that report on what the fans are saying on these sort of forums after games? I just discovered one of my many post-match rants from a couple of years ago. http://footballburp.com/opinion/jonny-forumer-everton-2-0-chelsea/ How someone can possibly have enough spare time to do this is beyond me. Possibly I have a terrible memory lol Yeah Cole gave an assist with one his Emirates goals aswell and went mad then also
July 26, 201411 yr The way Southampton are going they will make over £100 million on transfers. If the spend wisely they can make the squad even better than last season. Personally though i think they will struggle this season, the spine of their team has gone. Edited July 26, 201411 yr by Scott Harris
July 26, 201411 yr Shearer was better than Henry. Drogba was the ultimate big game player though, yeah Edited July 26, 201411 yr by MANoWAR
July 26, 201411 yr I've said it before, you had your regular goal scorers i.e. Henry, Shearer, Van Nistleroy, etc and you had those that weren't as regular but were big game players i.e. Drogba, Cantona etc. Both are very important to a clubs success but in different ways.
July 26, 201411 yr Shearer was better than Henry. Drogba was the ultimate big game player though, yeah Come on man...
July 26, 201411 yr Come on man... More goals for worse teams? What else can you say about it? Don't you watched Big Al enough
July 26, 201411 yr More goals for worse teams? What else can you say about it? Don't you watched Big Al enough 283 goals in 559 league games for Shearer. (0.5 goals per game) 174 goals in 254 PL games for Henry. (0.69 goals per game) If you want to base it solely on scoring records Shearer doesn't win.
July 26, 201411 yr And I wouldn't call Blackburn a worse team either, certinatly not during Shearer's time there.
July 26, 201411 yr Come on man... Henry was faster/quicker and the better dribbler but there aren't many other areas he tops Shearer in Henry had players around him that Shearer never did, even at Blackburn when they were champions, he was playing with guys like Wilcox, Ripley, Sherwood, Mark Atkins. Compared for Henry were Pires, Ljungberg, Vieira and Gilberto, and most notably, Bergkamp, one of the most gifted players in the PL (maybe even the most). You could argue that he was important for Arsenal than Henry was. Maybe henry was more of a team player, but individually, it's Shearer for me. the guy also had some really bad injuries back then -- which would probably be worse then than they are now and still became the top scorer overall. July 26, 201411 yr Lol Spurs! @TransferNewsCen: AS: Antoine Griezmann has rejected Tottenham's £22m offer to join Atletico Madrid for £28m. 6 year deal.
July 26, 201411 yr According to the latest, Gaal the dictator one has ordered all players to speak English only. Lol. Here we go, the dictator at his best.
July 26, 201411 yr . Joe tells it as it is. http://www.thesportbible.com/articles/joe-cole-reflects-on-his-time-at-liverpool
July 26, 201411 yr It would have been hilarious if he'd have said "I've been at Chelsea creating history, now I've joined a club living off history! " Rat munching dippers, deluded as usual.
July 26, 201411 yr Anybody watching the Real madrid v inter milan game? Bale scored a lovely screamer and hit the bar too. It is actually a really open game.
July 26, 201411 yr Apparently, madrid are also planning to get falcao on loan for 12.5 million, with the option to make it permanent. F**king hell, that team will be immense if that deal comes to fruition as well.
July 27, 201411 yr To be honest kind of feel sorry for Cole then, he got a lot of hate for that Liverpool interview.
