Getting his excuses in early in case they come up short again next season after investing well this summer. He has already stated that his german players will miss the start of the season too. I thought schurrle was returning next week.

He's given them extended leave following their participation in the finals which means they probably won't be match fit in time for the first game of the season, just a managerial decision he has taken I suppose. 

 

I don't think he's getting his excuses in personally, I think it just highlights that money really does come first in football now. 

 

The potential money to be made in becoming a marketable brand in the US means there's huge pressure on playing staff to take place in pre-season tours there now and the question being raised by Wenger and van Gaal is do these commercial tours come at the expense of what is best for the team in the long run?

 

Although we haven't headed out to the US or Asia this pre-season I wouldn't be completely surprised if we did another post-season exhibition game like we did a couple of years ago.

Haven't really got to grips with Liverpool's transfer policy this summer. I can see that they have strengthened the depth of the squad which they had to do to compete in CL and EPL but I think a lot of their signing are lacking quality. Top four will be difficult I feel.

Well here's hoping.

They should be improving depth by getting in players better than what they have and their current ones becoming backups, not signing a bunch of mediocre players like Lambert, Lallana and Lovren.

So they've signed roughly a third of the outfield starting players of a team that finished 8th for £50m to help them to try and finish 1st.

Since Drogba is part of Chelsea's team again, I browsed through some of the other forums just to see the reactions. It is almost unbelievable to read some of the comments. So much hatred and just totally clueless postings. Lol. I just can't wait to see Drogba start playing again and popping goals against these teams.

But I thought ffp was supposed to save lesser teams from this, allowing organic growth without the fear of this kind if thing. Ffp is complete bollocks.

To be honest he's a lot better than Shaw in my view so it's great value for money.

Just thought I would go on to Arsenal mania and my they hate Drogba, one of them brought up stats and made a claim that Giroud is just as good as Drogba whilst the others said it was laughable to compare Drogba to Henry and that he's unbelievably overrated.

 

I just thought I would post this for all you chaps, because it's going to make it even f**king sweater when he scores the winner against le Arse... Or should I say mein Arse.
